Payable in monthly installments through 2020

Less than what we paid Chiz.

Don't know about the rest of the staff and their salaries, other than Steele.

ETA: We had a profit of $15.2 million on revenues of $140 million in FY2016, when we were still paying Chiz his $209,457.84 a month. So we could probably afford it without raising a dime.

As an aside, JJ vs Jimmy Sexton in negotiations should be the contractual equivalent of statutory rape.

It restores my faith in America. A guy who is really only qualified to wipe trays at Wendy's or sorting glass is going to make $6 mil for nothing more than completely fricking up his job.

Then your faith should have been restored Nov 8, 2016.

I think if the AD has so much faith in a coach to put such a big buyout on him he should also put up some of his salary for the buyout, it's easy to spend someone else's money put your money where you mouth is Jay Jacobs.

Gus has one of the lowest buyouts in the SEC. Price of doing business.

In a review of the extension given to the Tigers' fourth-year head coach this past June, Malzahn will be owed $2,237,500 for each of the remaining years left on the contract if fired without cause

Coincidentally, that's also $2,237,000 for each play in his playbook.
