It sounds like the 2 QB rotation of White/Franklin is the plan moving forward. He kept saying White is our guy & Franklin getting #2 reps

Gus' three about system was so awful that we are willing to accept his awful 2 qb system instead. Gus is still the master of busting momentum with a qb switch.

We care because Auburn football is important to us.

If Gus does not like tough questions and fan scrutiny, then he is not cut out for Auburn. There are a number of programs like Rice University where there are no tough questions and the stadium will only have 20,000 fans that would shrug their shoulders in calm acceptance at a 5 QB system.

Why do y'all care what he says at a press conference though? Yall hate whatever he says.

If he says something you don't agree with, he's an idiot.
If he says something you agree with, he's just lying and y'all criticize it.
If he says something general that you can't agree or disagree with, "OMG COACH SPEAK"

So unless y'all just want to be pissed, I don't know why y'all listen to what he says. There's literally nothing he could say that would make y'all happy.

Also on another note, why does everyone hate coach speak so much? Y'all act like Gus is the only one that does it but pretty much every good coach does it. Hell I could've told you exactly what Saban was going to say after the USC game whether it was 52-6 or 0-3.

He got asked about the 3 QB system and said it didn't work. What do you want him to say? That's the exact answer I was looking for. Do I know that he actually believes that? No but I don't see how I can get pissed at him for giving me the exact answer I want

Most posts in this thread have been about people being happy that Gus said what he said.

The bottom line is that we are all still in wait and see mode.

Meh. Gus said in a few words what everyone wanted to hear - he admitted the gameplan didn't work, and moving forward JJ is solidly third string and SW and JFIII will get reps at game time.

Not addressing everybody.

Obviously. Personally, I don't really give a shite what he says. I just care about what he actually does.

thought it was a good plan to change qbs in and out

He thought putting a new QB in while the other two were driving the ball down their throats and into the red zone was a good plan... k.

I take solace in what Gus said. He very well could have said that was our game plan and that will continue to be our game plan for the foreseeable future.

My hope is Sean gets at least 75% of snaps this weekend and JFIII gets the other 25%. If that happens, I will be much happier this time next week. Unless we lose and I have to see Trooper waving his towel in celebration.

It was like Clemson was in charge of when we subbed our QBs. Complete a pass? Go to the bench!

JJ was clearly terrible. His INT was telegraphed (see last year) and his fumble may have been worse. Two turnovers. SW had a turnover, but that was on 4th down and 8 throw a prayer type pass (better than a sack) and the guy should have just battered it down.

I really wish JJ had transferred. This QB battle helped no-one.

God it was so bad. If he puts that ball in the endzone, it is an easy TD.

White's was telegraphed too. He hesitated to throw to the open receiver, giving Boulware a chance to jump the route when White chose to finally throw it.

White just didn't trust his instincts. But it was absolutely telegraphed. The announcers even said it.

Doesn't make him a shite QB but that INT was because White made a mistake

White isn't a championship caliber quarterback. I hope everyone realizes that.

But I also hope that the criticizers recognizes that White is our best shot at winning 8-9 games. Maybe JFIII has talent hidden up his sleeve, but all we saw was him handing off the ball.

JJ is a 3-9 debacle all over again. He shouldn't see the field at all.
