I'm looking at it as Georgia soaked up all the 5 stars while LSU, Arky, Oke Miss, State and even Alabama didn't do near as good as auburn. I think the emphasis is the same as this past year; get past LSU, focus on UGA and Alabama.

Can someone link the video of Gus breaking down all the commits like he does every year?

Why is this laughable? You can hide your head in the sand all you want but this is definitely a strong potential scenario.

They lose 31 players from last year's team including almost every starter on defense and the majority of their offensive production.

More recruiting classes like this one and it won’t matter who they lose, they’ll just reload.

What's interesting is that even though we finished 12th in the country(our worst under GM), we finished 3rd in the SEC (best ever under GM).

There is a big gap between what GA did and we did, but in relation to the other SEC teams, we did pretty well.

That's because UGA and Clemson took all the good players and there were none left for the LSU's, UT's, UF's of the world.

And that’s also because the talent pool is actually pretty bad overall this year.

2 of those schools also hired new head coaches which usually results in subpar recruiting in the short turnaround. The other school doesn't have a real head coach yet

Hard to compare us to then

Yet our now $75 million head coach lost to him.

Seriously - you bitching because a half dozen were 3stars?

You do know there's only 50 5-stars out there? And then it's 4stars for another couple hundred? And how many 4stars did AU sign?

With what is going on around AU we are pretty lucky to be recruiting at a status that enables us to compete. Unless we had hired Kirby, maybe, I think Gus has done as a good a job on the recruiting front than one could expect. It's one reason I am glad we kept him. Now coaching isn't quite as crystal clear, but there is always hope

And he'd left us the moment Georgia opened, if not sooner
