Jalil Irvin told Keef at 247 that we're in great position with top OT target Dylan Wonnum and thinks we'll land him within a few weeks.

Ranking Alabama’s top 15 prospects in the 2018 class (SECCountry)

The state of Alabama will have a healthy list of football players signing with Division I programs in the 2018 class. With that in mind, SEC Country will be ranking the Yellowhammer State’s top 15 recruits for the class.
These rankings will be released once a month throughout the football season. The list is based on evaluation by SEC Country reporters, recruiting interest from the two in-state programs, other offers, stats and ratings from the main recruiting outlets (247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and Scout). The star ratings below come from the 247Sports composite.

Cam Taylor plays quarterback for Park Crossing but will play in the secondary at Missouri. He’s coming off a torn right ACL but already has made a full recovery and is expected to lead a very good Park Crossing team this fall.

James Foster has the ability to play more than just quarterback. That’s what Alabama and Auburn both looked at him to do. But Foster wants to be a quarterback, and Missouri wanted him to be the face of its recruiting class, which is why he chose those Tigers. Foster performed at a high level throughout the summer in 7-on-7 tournaments. Expect to see him to shine even brighter during his senior season.

Myles Mason’s recruitment has been somewhat of a question mark for the past several months. It’s unclear which of his top schools he can commit to at the moment. Alabama, the school he likely wants to pick, is still evaluating him, as is Florida State. With him being at Hewitt-Trussville now, one of the top football teams in the state, Mason will have a lot of eyes on him this fall.

Shedrick Jackson’s ranking by some services doesn’t do him justice. The Auburn wide receiver commit looks like a college-ready prospect. He’s a workout warrior who shares a similar work ethic to his uncle Bo Jackson. He’s also the type of prospect every coach wants. Jackson’s high IQ and work ethic make him a dangerous asset in his senior season with the defending state champions.
Hoover plays a loaded Grayson team this week. Should be a great chance to see how Jackson stacks up against top talent

Tank Jenkins had a very good offseason. SEC Country saw Jenkins compete in several camps this spring and summer, where he was one of the top overall linemen at each event. He needed to lose some weight, which he did, and it’s made a big difference. Louisville and Missouri are the main contenders for Jenkins.

At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Kameron Stutts surprises with his athleticism and agility. He’s a state champion in the shot put and was close to medaling in the discus, as well. Stutts committed to Auburn at the Tigers’ spring game, which was a clear sign of where the big offensive lineman sits on Auburn’s board. On top of his physical skill set, Stutts has a spirit about him that’s impossible to ignore. It’s a big reason why many college coaches were eager to get him.
I am very high on Stutts. I expect he has a similar career trajectory as Harrell. Come in and redshirt. Get some snaps in blowouts as redshirt freshman then compete for starting spot his 3rd year

Jalen Cunningham hasn’t had the best coaching in his high school career. That has changed with Matt Glover now there. Since Glover was hired in late February, Cunningham’s recruitment has taken off. Like Mason above, it’s unclear where he can actually commit. Alabama is still evaluating him and wants to see how he plays after he recovers from a turf toe injury. If the Crimson Tide want him, he’ll commit to Bama. Though Cunningham is 6-foot-6 and over 340 pounds, he carries his weight very well. With proper coaching, we believe Cunningham could be a force in the SEC.

Andres Fox is on the wish list for Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Stanford, so that gives a good idea of his skill set. He has a solid combination of strength and agility, which is why he ranges from a Buck target to a defensive tackle target. All four of those programs have specific plans in place to utilize Fox in their schemes. He will be a standout for Mobile Christian this fall and show exactly why.
Really interested in seeing his senior tape. Has as high of a ceiling as any instate player this year

Harold Joiner’s college decision hasn’t been as obvious. But when it comes to his play on the field, it’s clear Joiner is one of the best athletes in the country. Is he a running back? Is he a wide receiver? Those questions haven’t been answered yet, but there’s no doubt Joiner will be a difficult asset to defend for whichever program he chooses. This is a guy who is as fast as anyone and can do cartwheels and backflips across an entire football field — all while standing 6-foot-3.

Seth Williams is a big-bodied receiver from the Tuscaloosa area. While you may think Alabama is the favorite, it’s Auburn that has the best chance at landing his commitment. Williams is highly coveted by major schools because of his size and how electric he is with the ball in his hands.

Asa Martin is the top running back in the state, and both in-state programs are chasing after this standout, who decides Thursday. Martin went down to IMG Academy for his junior season, but he’s back in the Yellowhammer State to show off his hard-nosed mentality as a runner. Martin’s lower body is about as physical as you’ll see from a high school prospect. It’s no wonder he’ll be competing on one side of the Iron Bowl in the near future.

Jalyn Armour-Davis committed to Alabama over Auburn and seems locked in with his choice. Armour-Davis stands at 6-foot and weighs around 165 pounds. He’ll need to add muscle in college, but that shouldn’t be a problem in Scott Cochran’s program at Alabama. What’s special about Armour-Davis is his ability to play on and off coverage because of his elite speed and athleticism. He’s a state champion in the triple jump and 100-meter dash.
