I hope so. If Coe is having to play DT a lot this season, we may be in trouble defensively.

I think he might land there eventually just because dude already put on like 40 lbs after one year so he could end up growing into a 6'5" 300 lb frame. But ya, hopefully we don't need him too much in the interior just yet. Still pissed Antwuan Jackson left. Dude would have gotten plenty of reps

Been thinking about the Rabbit package though and what it might look like. My best guess is Marlon Davidson and Nick Coe on the inside with Paul James and Jeff Holland at the Bucks. Would be interesting to see if Bryant or Moultry make it into that package

I think there is question about his top speed at the next level.

Yep. It still is amazing how thin we are at DT.

Tate had a projected defensive depth chart out yesterday that had Coe as 2nd string DE behind Davidson and then 3rd string DT behind Brown and Williams.

Marcello has COE subbing in and out with Brown at DT

Yea I doubt that happens. Don't see Coe subbing in at DT over Andrew Williams. If so, we are in big big trouble defensively.

Coe could be our sleeping giant/beast. I have high hopes for him. He may not be subbing much IF (and we as AU fans use that word often) he lives up to expectations.

Hope so. If Brown or Russell get hurt, we are going to be stupid thin at DT. Really going to need Johnson and Truesdell to step up.

Some sunshine this morning from Mr. Marshall

- Says watch out for Jason Smith. Could be a special teams weapon this season
- Looking like former walkon Gary Walker will be AU's 4th DT this season. Similar to Nosa Eguae in that he's a smaller dude inside but can be a matchup problem
- Oh dear god... PM says expect Cox to get some carries and possibly some direct snaps...
- No official starting OL has been named but the Wanogho/Horton/Golson/Smith/James group continues to be the favorite
- Good chance Devan Barrett will be the #3 RB

Looking back that's not actually a ton of sunshine. Coxcat still alive & a walkon passing the former #1 player

But hell ya Barrett. Dude is gonna be a great one before he leaves AU

I don't mind Cox getting a carry here and there. He is a powerful runner. If he takes a direct snap, I'll lose my shite.

How Johnson or Cowart can't beat out Walker for the 4th DT spot is mind blowing. I like Walker, he plays tough and has a good motor, but if our 4th DT is a 5'11 270 lb walk on, frick.

Just shows how loaded we are when our walkons can beat out the former #1 player in the country

Or at least that's how I choose to spin it

I don't want ANY back taking a direct snap unless its a 4th and inches, or goal line situation where everyone know we are running it and we can get an extra blocker in there. Other than that, no one but Stidham should be taking any snap. For the love of god Gus
