Would love to finish the LBer class out with Brown & Britt then tell Ignont to frick off.

Right now I think we land all 3 of Britt/Taylor/Wilder and Ignont goes to LSU which I would be ok with. It's crazy how this time last season Ignont & Benton seemed like locks to AU while Moultry was a pipe dream. Another reminder how much recruiting can change over the cycle.

The real question for me is what do we do at CB? I can buy in on Peters at S due to just his raw athletic ability but I still haven't gotten a handle on what our CB board looks like. At one point in time I thought we were going to pull in AJ Terrell & Tre Shaw which would have been insane but that doesn't seem very likely at all anymore. 4* Rufus Corker is an interesting guy to watch & then there is the recent talk about 2* Shawn Shamsburger. Curious to see where we go at that position

Also can I just say I would love for us one day to have a starting CB combo named Corker/Shamburger

Interesting rb class for us.

All three guys Barrett, Aleric, and Octavius are all considered athletes and wanted at different positions by other schools cb, wr, and safety.

It would definitely be a different type of class for sure. I am very high on Matthews, think I have said that like 12 times but I just love his film & think he steps in next season as a contributor

I really like Barrett as well. I followed Tampa Catholic last season to track Craig-Myers and Barrett was always putting up some sick numbers. He has that next gear you like to see where he can pull away from defenders in open space and has the frame to get to size to handle SEC punishment imo

I just don't know on Alaric. His highlights seem disappointing to me namely because he is not as explosive as I thought he would be still. He is very physical and does a lot of things in high school. I might agree with someone earlier who said they think he could end up a S

Again though I am far from a talent scout so more than likely Alaric will be the beast and Matthews will be a bust I think a lot of the RB recruiting has gone this way due to us not really making much headway on more traditional type of RB recruits such as Cam Akers, Trey Sermon & Ty Chandler. Why that is the case don't know but just seemed like early on we were behind on a lot of these guys. I need to check out the early 2018 cycle & see if there are any traditional type RB targets that we might be higher up on next time around

AU has offered 3* QB Kaderious Toney who is a UF commit. Interestingly not as a QB though we have offered him as an ATH so he would play either WR or DB

I think we'll do the same as UF, let him give it a shot at QB and then if it works out he'll stick, if not he'll be moved. Same thing with Bishop.

Damn look how great he is at keeping his eyes downfield when he first scrambles out of the pocket!
Kadarius Toney

Vision. That will be what determines whom our RB is in this class, and who plays elsewhere.

Thank you.

If vision is what our coaches look for in RB prospects, then how the hell did we end up with Barber?

So Barrett's taping his commitment early then it will be broadcasted live at 5 PM CT. KN is going to live stream his family's watch party of said broadcast. I take that as a positive sign for AU

On other hand that seems pretty weird. You can watch his family react to a decision I assume they already know. Oh recruiting

It might be one of those videos a lot of kids are making now, like what Tray Bishop did.

Damn Gatewood is a boss. His highlights are a blend of Cam/Tebow and that's not hyperbole. I'd almost take not signing a QB this year if it solidified him coming.

Honesty, Toney looks like a better QB prospect than Bishop. The footwork, pocket awareness, throwing etc...

If anything is gonna screw us it's us not having a QB this year and Gus getting fired.

I heard that Gatewood has a close bond with Lashlee as well. We might want to pipe down on the "fire Lashlee" stuff too.
