He played some at OT/was on the initial depth chart at OT before we swapped people around.

Either way, that OL was garbage

Regarding bubble screens/other plays that may have an upward bias, Gus was the coach in 2011 where we also threw bubble screens/sweeps etc

i don't think there is much debate that his playcalling has never been quite as bad as it was this season. There was at least still some mystery to his offense even at that point.

10 Most Wanted

1. Jarrett Stidham QB - TAMU appears to have dropped out of the race since Kellon Mond's dad threw a hissy fit about them recruiting Stidham. Stidham is likely to OV AU which would be his 3rd visit this fall. Biggest competition for Stidham at this point is Art Briles landing a HC gig somewhere.

2. Ryan Johnson DE - Auburn trending. He's visited multiple times.

3. Brandon Martin WR - Hasn't visited AU or any other school this fall. Only has 3 catches this season for Gulf Coast. Talented enough he could start next year at AU.

4. Devon Hunter S - AU is a darkhorse here. Will need a good season to impress Hunter. Likely to OV later this fall.

5. Kenny Britt LB - AU Trending he's been to AU several times this fall and will OV later on. UGA biggest threat.

6. Jordan Agasiva OG - Named AU #1 after his visit vs. LSU. Still has TCU, Oregon State.

7. Markaviest Bryant Buck - Georgia lean.

8. CJ Avery S - Avery's father is close with Wesley McGriff and played for him in college. CJ has visited a couple times but is genuinely torn between AU, Moo St, and Ole Miss.

9. Isaiah Buggs DE - LSU is the team to beat but AU has a legitimate shot

10. Will Ignont LB - Trending Auburn

Labryan Ray DE - Auburn has moved into his top 6. He'll likely OV.

Henry RUggs III WR - Most think he's all Bama, UF could be making a move, Auburn definitely in the picture.

Is this going to be the worst recruiting class in the Gus Malzahn era ?

If we can rattle off some wins and get Gus/Auburn on firm ground, got to think recruiting will pick up.

A lot of kids used to seem to be on edge about potential coaching shakeups

I think that's all relative. Look at 2014, which was ranked #6 nationally. 4 of our top 10 signees from that year are no longer on the team. Take those 4 away and that class drops to probably 10th or lower, which would be worse than 15 and 16 and probably about where this class will end up.

If we finish strong, it may get better, especially if we can get Stidham

If we finish reasonably strong, we will have hit nearly all our major needs pretty well. Other than DT/DE, we are hitting nearly every position already

also, one of those players was duke... even though he was kicked off the team, 2015 was his last year of college eligibility as he played two years at juco

You must be a pretty shitty CPA if you think our Qb has only attempted 6 passes....did you do some testing before you came to that conclusion? Care to offer an opinion?

KN says a name to watch is JUCO 3* WR Stephen Guidry who just recently decommitted from LSU. He visited AU last weekend and was impressed also communicates a lot with Kodi Burns. KN thinks we would take both Guidry & Martin would be takes

Another LSU kid we are looking at stealing is 3* FB Tory Carter. He is sitll committed to LSU but if they bring in coach who doesn't use FB & we offer good chance he joins. AU is looking for a FB now since Pettway has moved to RB

Must mean we are bringing in a Briles. Can't see why we would need 2 JUCO WRs if KD,RD and Slayton all have been solid plus NCM/Stove appear to be developing during mop up

My bad.

2018 recruits never ever get discussed in this thread.
