What is our offense going to look like next year? Is the first half against Arkansas a pretty good indicator or are we going to be stubborn with the read? I can't wait to see a QB who can pick a defense apart in our offense. What says my fellow Posibarners?

It will look more like a traditional offense. A lot less read option and more inverted veers

Lots of pulling guards and buck sweeps. I expect to see a few more passes on early downs next year.

The thing about Malzahns offense is he has the same basic offensive principles no matter what he runs. Its really just a modification of who will have the ball in that particular situation. The only true change with his offense is the pass-rush balance, but the fundamental plays are the same

We need to control our expectation with JJ. Besides one half against a early Arkansas team, we don't really know how he'll perform long term. Can he truly pick apart a defense Jason Campbell style? We will have to see.

I think JJ can do well on QB sneaks on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1. Our OL will determine the season for our offense. It always has and always will. Will we fix the false start problems? Will Coleman be more reliable.

There are still many question regarding the OL, and this worries me.

I'm not a posibarner at all and I hate to say it but I think our offense will be very similar to Alabama's was this year, possibly a bit more rushes though. Lots of screens, stretch the field some and run it at the other teams.

What I hope:

More complex route trees with multiple reads for JJ in the passing game. With Nick, it was either slant, deep ball, or screen. He never had to make a read.

Buck sweeps and powers. Dyer made a living off these runs in 2011. I think we see far less of the zone read.

Explosive and unpredictable. If our defense is worth a shite, we will play in Atlanta twice

If things play out right, it will be nice to finally have an OL that mauls people in the run game.
