Well that stinks. Wish we could somehow steal Godwin or Slayton. WR class will be underwhelming.

Well that can't be right. UT fans said we're handing out a lot of cash to get guys like Irvin and Burt.

Someone must've hacked Burt's Twitter account and Photoshopped that picture. Because he's obviously getting paid to come to Auburn.

I'll just wait for Burt to clear the air.

You think he commits to us but signs as an EE in 2016 or goes to UL right away correct?

I have no clue. If the info is right my guess is Louisville.

247 said Momma called... basically he was going to flip to Auburn after de-committing to Texas, told everyone, but then backed down.

Free info on Burt from Hoke LINK
quote:

Keith and I both felt this was coming when Burt didn't flip to Auburn about two weeks ago.

Burt de-committed from Texas and committed to Auburn behind the scenes, but he wanted to speak with his mother before making the announcement. His mother didn't take the news well, Burt ended up not going public with his Auburn commitment. When that happened, it wasn't looking good for Burt joining Auburn's class.

The night Burt de-committed from Texas and I told the board to hold on, it was because I was on the phone with Burt getting quotes on his commitment to Auburn. He decided not to go public right then, then it never happened.

I thought Auburn could still pull him, but every passing day made it less likely. Bottom line: Burt's mother wanted him at Texas, Burt didn't want to disappoint anyone (certainly not his mother), and that's where it appears he's going. Auburn did everything they could and Dameyune Craig worked really hard.

like someone on 247 said. If he is too scared to stand up to Mama and make his own decision, then he is too soft to play in the SEC. Enjoy catching passes from some McCoy offspring for the next 4 years.

are you kidding me? Louis is one of the most physical WR on our team. He has consistently lowered his shoulder into defenders when he gets in the open field.

I hate we didn't get him, but hopefully we work on the D side of the ball. We have some serious quality depth issues on that side of the ball. RB and WR are the two easiest positions to come in and be immediately productive, IMO. We can try and get an instant impact WR next year.

Maybe he meant contact with the ball? Seems like Louis rarely is in contact with the ball after it is thrown for any extended period of time

Hate that we didn't get Burt. Sucks that his mom pressured him to go to Texas. Sometimes Moms don't know how to let go.

If he had surgery, there probably isn't a plaster cast at the moment to avoid infection.

I'm not an md, so I'm just guessing.

I had elbow surgery last summer and they put me in a hard plastic half-mold (upper arm to wrist) wrapped in ace bandages.

He doesn't sound too upset about his decision. Sure his mom might have steered him but he's happy to go to Texas

Well of course he's going to be happy at Texas too. I think it was a better business decision to go to Auburn though. And by business decision I'm not talking about the bagman.
