I don't guess it will matter how soon. He probably wouldn't play this year even if he got a waiver.

Likely not for 2 reasons

1. Current Depth on OL and
2. The waiver rule is likely about to change next week in that players will still have to sit out the first year of transfer if the waiver is approved but if it causes them to miss a year of playing by the transfer they will get an extra playing year in the back end.

Probably pulling a Torrance Gibson. He'll announce "I'm down to Auburn and UGA" or something like that.

That's what I'm thinking, but at the same time, both AUC and Rivals guys have said it's only a matter of "when" he commits

Top247 safety Jordan Colbert tweeted Wednesday afternoon that he will make his commitment official this weekend. As of now Colbert is regarded as a heavy Auburn lean. He is rated the nation's No. 12 safety and No. 183 overall prospect in the 2015 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite.

I would say that with Edwards in, and a 5* kid that is very interested, he figures he needs to get his ticket punched. I hope we get Owens with him.

From his tweet it sounded like hes going to announce his commitment by visiting whoever he's choosing.

I'm calling it now...

I think we are going to sign our strongest class ever next year. Never seen so much high quality interest and early commitmentsfor us this early. We will be signing a large class on top of that. If we are as good on the field as we should be this year, I'm calling for a top 3 class next February with a push for the #1 class.

Yea, I'm not sure about top 5...

If we land our big guys like Jovon Robinson, Torrance Gibson, Jeffery Holland, and so forth...maybe. But we are going to need to land some of those big names.

He's said that for a few weeks, but most experts feel it will come down to us and OSU in the end

I honestly think we locked up Jeffery Holland over the weekend. He seems to have really bonded with the players as well from some of the tweets I've seen lately.

Edit: And no I'm not stalking recruits on twitter or facetiming them like that ericsilver kid

Actually talking 2015, but 2016 is probably more realistic.

My optomism is based in no small part on my expectations of a large class as well, but someone correct me if I am wrong. We have a lot of seniors this year and I believe we will lose quite a few underclassmen to the nfl, some will be surprises as we will get a lot of attention this year.

Feel free to set me straight on our numbers this year if I am mistaken. We have 23 seniors, though a believe 3 are non-scholarship. I think Sammie and Duke will go pro as well as 2-3 surprise underclassmen that have big years. Few transfers like Wallace or whoever, couple gone through natural attrition and you are talking a potentially big class.

Anyway, all this is way premature, so maybe we just wait and see where the cards fall.

I'm glad I remember this from before class calculator went down. If we land those 3 and fill out the rest as Keith last projected then we will be comfortably in the top 5 if #5 in 2015 has a similar score to #5 in 2014.

He's supposed to name an "official leader" on May 5th.
