Is Thompsons family rich? I'd hate to think we would make a kid pay his own way again.

Is that thing accurate?
No. Canty will be a RS Junior in 2015-16. LINK

If he's a medical, he has the choice to stay and finish his degree here, right?

Doesn't matter. Per every AU source he told the staff yesterday he was leaving the school. Per 247 if he didn't they would have asked him to leave to look for other opportunities.

He may think he can still recover and we didn't want to take a chance.

I love how things spread around boards. I brought up Shonn Miller last week with no connection to AU other than he is a potential grad transfer. First name listed on a bunker post for rivals

6'9 225LB Tyler Harris from tournament team Providence (9PPG 6RPG) will transfer. His brother Tobias Harris played for Bruce Pearl

So, if we need a guy like him, I can imagine it's likely we land him.

No. And this is the problem w/ Gene doing all the research he has done on grad transfers. It gets people's hopes up for a guy w/out having a clue if he is an AU target at all.

We will get a big but there is no known likely's at this point.

Normally I would agree with you but this is different. There is a big time connection to Pearl with the entire Harris family. There is guaranteed playing time for him at Auburn. This is the 1st I've heard about Harris transferring so no inside info but I would be surprised if he isn't in orange and blue next season. It just makes too much sense.

This was my basis as well. Tobias was one of the most successful players under Pearl, especially when it came to the NBA.

I think E was talking about my personal mission to talk up Shonn Miller from Cornell since the kid can ball like Jesus Shuttlesworth. People are running with it even though the kid hasn't indicated he wants to play another year/transfer and AU hasn't expressed interest

Harris definitely makes sense and I would be shocked if we weren't in it for him. Fits the need Bruce expressed, connection to staff and quality player

Also, I know there were some grade risk questions about Purifoy. Since he is likely to graduate from Hargrave, should be solid right?

Nevermind. I should read complete posts more often instead of skimming.

There has been no word of concern by AU staff. Speaking of DP BMatt just wrote a good article on him which included his highlight video from Hargrave. LINK
