Bill Snyder scares the shite out of me. I have watched a lot if K State football (I live in KS), but they struggle with teams that have good to great team speed. Right now I'm feeling ok about this game.

Auburn's offense will be fast in 2014, but the game still scares me.

I can't remember a tougher schedule.

Don't like a grind with LSU followed by a grinder AT the grinders...danger.

I'm not worried about KState. I like where they fall in the schedule. We have a lot of experience coming back so we should start strong. 3 games, Gus gets an off week to take what he learns in the first three games, get a bit of rest, then head west. La Tech is after KState, so we won't be looking past them. We should be fine.

MSU after LSU concerns me as to being able to get back up for MSU and we will be physically beat up to an extent after LSU.

And of course November will be a tough month.

It's not about all that. It's K State's Super Bowl. Snyder thrives as an underdog in situations like that.

It is about that. He is saying with our bye week and LA Tech the week after, our veteran team should be focused and ready. K State isn't going to be the only one preparing for this game.

We've got a well-deserved rep for a) wildly overachieving when little is expected of us (last year, 2010, 2000 are good examples) and 2) often falling flat on our faces whenever we have high pre-season aspirations (2012, 2008, 2003 come to mind). I shouldnt have to remind any of you that we've only managed back-to-back double digit win seasons once in 120 years.

A good season this year would do a lot towards establishing that we belong in the "perennial contender" category. I think Gustav can do it.

It's going to matter if K State plays over it's head good. I am picking us to win but the game will be close whether we have extra time or not so it's not about that.

this schedule is impossible. getting back to the NCG is unlikely. Marshall can't even throw. repeats are impossible, ask San Fran. We just needed 13 seconds more of defense and it wouldn't matter. Georgia and Alabama are going to be out for payback and they'll get it.

... yeah that's pretty ugly but I trust Gus to figure it out.

It's a new day boys and girls! The bad taste from the NC will keep these boys focused. Malzahn is the reincarnation of 90s Spurrier. We good!

is it just me or does it seem like not getting up for a game was a Tubbs issue?

I know we snuck up on the nation but I'm sure everyone was gunning for us anyways except maybe A&M. I don't think we snuck up on Arky, State abd especially Bama.

UGA says they were surprised but they were barely ranked playing a one loss rival at the end of the season. they're just idiots really.

bird, not being a jacka$$ or anything but how old are you? Go back and look at some of those schedules from the early and mid 80's. Those were ridiculous, as a matter of fact thinking about them makes me

Sets up nicely...

Bye week before Kansas State, Arkansas in the first game after having all off-season to prepare, LSU after a game against Louisiana Tech, South Carolina after a bye week, and Alabama after a homecoming game. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are teams to watch, but Auburn is better than both. Texas A&M has to replace their offense, and Georgia replaces their quarterback.

Yeah the Clemson team was a lot better than KSU will be. I wouldn't compare this Auburn team to the 2011 team either.

Is there a harder schedule? Maybe another SEC school?

Thought this year was worse

Only two teams out of twelve who finished with losing records in '13. Only three out of twelve who didn't play in the post-season.

Piece of cake.

I am not putting much stock into A&M next season. They kept thier DC for some reason and lost thier two top offensive players. That is why I dont see the above stretch as that difficult...two hard games, a break, one hard game, break, hard game. OM looks to be the game that AU is most likely to lose.
