2014 AUBURN FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
Aug. 30 ARKANSAS AUBURN
Sept. 6 SAN JOSE STATE AUBURN
Sept. 13 ** Open Date **
Sept. 20 at Kansas State Manhattan, KS
Sept. 27 LOUISIANA TECH AUBURN
Oct. 4 LSU AUBURN
Oct. 11 at Mississippi State Starkville, MS
Oct. 18 ** Open Date **
Oct. 25 SOUTH CAROLINA AUBURN
Nov. 1 at Ole Miss Oxford, MS
Nov. 8 TEXAS A&M AUBURN
Nov. 15 at Georgia Athens, GA
Nov. 22 SAMFORD AUBURN
Nov. 29 at Alabama Tuscaloosa, AL

This seems to be the talking point against us next year. It looks hard but manageable to me.

I'm not a fan of Arky to start but we will win regardless. I like the open dates before KSU and USCe. I don't think much of A&M this year at JHS so I only see two weeks together of hard games...USCe and OM.

Thoughts?

I will like it better if they move it to Arrowhead.

That run after our 2nd bye week is going to be extremely difficult (including the seccg). 6 tough games in 7 weeks.

I agree the schedule is not as bad as some make it out to be.

The only I don't like is having both UGA and Bama on the road.

Like arky to start the season. It will help with focus to open with an sec opponent and arky is a good choice.

At msu is a bit concerning after a huge home gme against lsu. Msu is going to be pretty good this year, probably the best they have been under merlins. They return a lot.

Agree about ole miss after usc being a tough one.

Uga and Bama on the road will be a challenge. I think Uga wins the east.

Tougher schedule than this past year for sure. On a positive note, we do have games we should be fine in before all the huge ones, lsu, usc, Uga, Bama.

I wish we could swap the first two games
Eta and push that second bye to the week before UGA

I disagree... Getting ark early is probably a good thing. They'll be improved but will be breaking in some new coaches, including a new DC. We're more experienced and should start better IMO.

Bama, LSU, TAMU, UGA, and USCe all replace their QBs. I like our chances.

I wouldn't put Arky in the should win regardless category I get the fact they''ll likely suck again this year. but it just always makes me nervous when we play them

Brutal schedule. We might have a better team and not as good a record as this year. We play UGA and bama away. Play at K-State and have probably the best team in the East coming to our house.

Yep. Both of them. UGA and USC.

We should end up with a top 10 SOS next year with this one, November being very tough.

And LSU will beat us up a bit, win or lose. And it's on the road. Prescott is really good.

Here's what concerns me...

@ K State-We are definitely better on paper but this smells like an underdog has a perfect game to prove themselves much like Carolina did with Bama in 2010. I don't care what the spread is. I am calling it now. K State covers. Also QB Jake Waters was recruited by Auburn and is a very capable QB.

@ Ole Miss-Along with Auburn the Rebs have the most starters coming back in the SEC. They will be improved and this game along with Bama will be their biggest home game of the season

The 4 game gauntlet from Carolina to UGA with no byes or cupcakes in there. Heck, 3 game SEC gauntlets versus all quality teams is killer and has tripped up many a very good teams, and they give us 4?!?!?! UGA on the road is tough on it's own then you add it to the end of a 4 game gauntlet. That game will be very tough to win. Thanks a lor SE-Frickin-C!!!

I feel the same about this game. I'm very glad we have the week off before them. I think K state and Miss ST are the two upset specials we will have to watch for next year.

The 4 game stretch will be rough, we'll have to see how all the teams stack up by that point.

The good news is any one single loss before the Bama game shouldn't derail our chances at the SEC championship game or the playoff.

everytime I look at this game I keep getting flashbacks from the 2011 Clemson game I can't believe some are penciling it in as a sure win. I remember telling people all week that I had a bad feeling about that game I think I predicted us to lose on a late FG

Clemson was just as talented as us in 2011 and it was early in the year. It's a little different situation
