-Major conditioning overhaul has been made. Sounds similar to what FB players said last year
quote:Read about this too...from the article I read it sounded as if Barbee didn't do this. Amazing
-Development and role with team openly discussed. Each player gets progress reports about what they have being doing well, what they need to improve on and how they will fit in the system
quote:Is this normal?
-Recruiting involves players' input. Pearl briefs the team on all incoming recruits and then has a debriefing where the players talk about if the kid will benefit team chemistry. Pearl told them that they can veto recruits essentially
quote:Well if Kiehl Frazier can change his ways, maybe there's hope for Canada
-Malcolm Canada may stop being a fatass

I bet the frequency of the updates, how in depth and tone of them is what is different. I imagine barbee talked with guys but I doubt many coaches have regularly scheduled formal updates.
I don't believe it is normal to have player input on every player and final veto from what I gathered

Per AUR
-Staff plans to bring back all scholly players and signees but could make room for both Lang and Canty as the staff likes their chances with both players.
Hoke believes Canty was pursuaded by his AAU coach, who has Calipari-Barbee ties, to back off his AU commitment recently
-Purdue transfer Ronnie Johnson is likely not a target anymore

I've read the same from other sources. His name is Dana Dingle and he played at UMass with Barbee when Cal was the coach there.

Hoke put up a tidbit about UnderArmour and Bruce Pearl. Basically says that Pearl publicly supports UA and pushes them as a brand but behind closed doors Pearl is telling htem they need to put up or shut up. Essentially he wants them to make Auburn their flagship BBall program and to start dedicating resources to BBall

Sorry for asking but isn't what he is asking of UA things that will improve recruiting and is the reason he is asking? If yes then does that not in fact fall under recruiting news?
Questions from a novice recruiting follower.

So it's safe to say Canty and Lang are our top 2 targets? We only have 2 spots available correct? I totally get Canty, but Lang seems like a role player more than a starter who can put in big minutes.

Thanks, I hope we can pull Canty if we only have one spot. He seems to have the mentality and ability to take over a game. Haven't seen the UT guy another big man would be nice but we need some guards that can consistently score

Don't sleep on Lang. He is a legit 6'6 and shot 53% from the 3 point line his Jr year of HS.

Lang can definitely shoot. We need shooters no doubt, but with only 1 spot open I rather have a multi tool guy like Canty. I trust BP whoever he gives the last spot to

We said we were open to pulling a schollie / processing.
I would love to be good enough to process in BBall

Logwood is going to announce his decision this weekend.
eta: This is a post about Logwood from FarHeel from ITAT. Some say he is Alex Thompson's dad but regardless of who he is he has always had good info in the past.

I wouldn't worry too much about this if I were you. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't keep his commitment to Auburn.
