It sounds like we're only looking for one more player to sign. Is that true?

Obviously depends on if Logwood stays or not.
If there is no more attrition 1 spot is all we have left.

I got some clarification on the transfer rules from austudent22. He said the SEC rule is the same for football and basketball. A player must have 2 years of eligibility left to transfer to a SEC school without a special waiver from the conference. An unused RS year counts as a year of eligibility so a soon to be senior who hasn't used his RS is eligible to transfer into the conference without a waiver. A soon to be 5th year Sr can still transfer to a SEC school but they have to be granted a waiver from the conference.

I got that clarification also from Penny on AUC and added 1 part to your post.

-Will sign next Friday
-This is normal in basketball and not a big deal

A number of kids still have not taken all their visits at this point as in football and there's not as much we won't have room for you if you don't sign on the first day like in football too.

Ian Chiles and Kareem Canty are supposed to be visiting this weekend. Not sure that I understand how Chiles is an option but he is planning to visit none the less.

Ian Chiles

Kareem Canty

May be due to a combination of these factors

From AUR
-Chiles will be a fifth-year graduate & be eligible to play immediately
-Tigers return eight scholarship players from last year's roster, giving five available scholarships
-Alex Thompson to go back to walk on status

From AUC
-staff would like to add another playmaking guard to replace CD

(Chiles averaged nearly 16 points a game last season)

It's my understanding that he still has to be granted a waiver to be on scholarship. I'd like to have him though since we now have at least 2 available spots with Thompson going back off scholarship.

Ronald Delph should be joining the team as soon as the semester ends. He was a partial qualifier and could not practice or workout with the team in any capacity.

Did a mod post this? A poster that has had good inside info in the past is saying they are wrong.

Yes. When I put per AUC or AUR it's from their Mods. Hoke said it was his understanding Thompson would be a walk on again.

Former Marshall point guard Kareem Canty has committed to Auburn. Notes that the atmosphere at today's A-Day game was a major factor. Story coming..

So who we looking at for the last spot if Thompson is going to be a walk-on?

Also how many years does Canty have and he has to sit out a year right?

I was thinking Canty was eligible immediately but he's not. He'll have two seasons left though. And I'm kinda tired of the pondering of available spots. If the staff can get valuable pieces, spots will come available. I have no idea though. I don't subscribe to paid services. Going to have to find the ways of basketball recruiting info. I can do that now

1. Canty was the last spot unless there is attrition. Hoke was misinformed about AT and admitted it. 2. 2 playing years after next season. Next year will essentially be his RS soph year. 3. Yes
