We need to do what's right, and claim that title. Hang the banner, and put the year next to '57, and '10.
I agree. Do what's right and claim the 2014 title!
Yesterday is for updyke bammers. Win now!

No need to invoke bama rules.
Claim them, put up the banners and let the haters hate.

The only right thing to do is to round up all the players from auburn and Oklahoma from 04, get tuberville, fly them to which ever site the NCG was held that year and make em play it out.

I don't know if you know what 'little bro comment' means...
I believe attempting to claim a title we didn't win is a little more 'little bro' than not doing so.

But we did win.

Jason Campbell and crew did not play in the Orange Bowl, the designated national championship game by the BCS, the awarding body, on January 4, 2005.
Not only did they not play in said game, and here's the tricky part, so stay with me...they also did not win that game.
The BCS sucked and that would have been the perfect year for a playoff. But, we didn't win it.
We'll just disagree on claiming 2004.

Ok, thanks for speaking slowly for me but let me ask you this...who won? I keep scouring the recod books and cannot find the winner.
I cant even find another undefeated team for that season. James, I need your help.

Well, since USC vacated the victory then Oklahoma was undefeated that year. Since the BCS deemed Auburn the third best team, if anyone should claim the title then it should be OU. I think Auburn was likely the best team between them and OU, but the accepted awarding body for that year did not think so.

I would think that a team vacating their victory would mean the loss doesn't count. Also, Utah was undefeated after bowl season. Don't think they deserve the national title, but he was just asking if there were other undefeated teams.

Claim 1913, 1914 and 1983. I am not opposed to 93 or 04 but think the argument is significantly weaker.

Utah? Dude please. Do you even football?

He just said he couldn't find any undefeated teams. Utah was undefeated. I never said Utah was worthy of even being in the national title conversation. Calm down.

Wrong.

Vacating and forfeiting aren't the same thing.
