I hope that is all true. I've heard from some that there was a lot of pressure put on Bruce by compliance and some PTB to have him move on. Their story was compliance didn't like some of his methods and the PTB wanted Chuck as the top assistant. I can't verify any of it but it did come from a few connected people.

I swear if this is true then the PTB can go frick themselves! I'm about fricking sick of the 'good ole boy' mentality that has permeated our athletic department.

From what I understand, in situations like TJones, while we force people out we make sure they are taken care of afterwards with other opportunities in line + other options.
I've always thought about it like a high level business executive who gets asked to leave and severance package is "very generous." Hard to think of it as being "fired" when you are being hooked up with money and other opportunities

I wouldn't say that's bad luck. I'd say that's just part of the deal when you sign someone that you know has an extensive and storied history of knee problems

The bad luck is that Bryce Brown is out, Tahj is injured and now New is injured
The 2 spot should be one of our deepest positions of scholarship players, and right now we are going to have to move guys from the 3 to the 2 to compensate

Don't take too much from exhibition games. Pearl's 2010-11 team lost by double digits to UIndy in an exhibition then went on to make the NCAA Tournament.
