Which QB do the Falcons take with their top 3 pick in the 2022 NFL draft?

I’m not really sold on any of them that high. As of now, though, it’s got to be Matt Corral or Malik Willis. Desmond Ridder has looked good but not top pick material. Rattler sucks. Sam Howell sucks. I like Carson Strong but he’s not 1st rd material yet.

What do y’all think?

Trash year for QB's and too much time left on Ryans albatross contract. The Falcons FO is pretty trash.

We don't have to worry about them spending a boat load of draft capital on another TE so at least that is out of the way. Really need to focus on Defense. That defense really can't stop anything. They have a few pieces but overall its just not a good product.

Fixed.

Too soon to make a determination about the new FO.

Still, they likely pickbin top 3-5. They passed on a QB of the future last year in the top 5. If they’re there again I would think they have to at least consider it.

I like Kyle Hamilton S from Notre Dame, Jordan Davis DT from UGA as best D players in the upcoming draft.

Maybe somebody will emerge. At this point I don't see a QB worth it.

The only QB I would have taken last year was Mac Jones, and so far I see no one worth a top 5 pick. There are a lot of good guys in the trenches to take with a top 5 pick next April.

Trade down and get help in secondary,DL or OL.

I honestly haven't looked at much information about which position groups are loaded/not loaded in the '22 draft.

Pray there is an absolute game changer defensive player in this draft and that Falcons FO identifies him and gets him with that top pick.

As of now it’s Jordan Davis or Kyle Hamilton. Both are positions that the Falcons have great need.

Edit: Also, Kayvon Thinideaux.

I’m all for taking every fricking Olineman the 1st 3 rounds have to offer. Build an Oline for the next QB. At worst, give Ryan a final shot

With Oliver out for the year, what are the odds we try to sign Gilmore?

Aim for a QB in the 2023 draft. This QB class isn't good and reaching for a QB is how you end up in a perpetual cycle of suck. Trade down, load up on picks, draft as many impact defensive players as possible.

Also, there's a very difficult but necessary conversation to have about Grady Jarrett. He is awesome, but he is also 28. This team is likely to not be competitive until 2023-2024ish because of the cap issues. Jarrett will be out of his prime by then. I believe he would fetch at least a 1st round pick if the Falcons made him available and it at least has to be considered. The defense sucks right now anyways.
