I can tell you that they get extremely butthurt if you simply refer to them as United. They are always very quick to point out that United is not the nickname.

I went a couple of weeks ago when DC United was in town and had a fricking blast (even though ATL lost). I have tickets to go back for Columbus. Almost bought season tickets, but that's just too much for me to do coming from Birmingham...I've definitely caught the fever, to say the least.
I've been getting tickets in the GA supporters section. If you do end up going to a game at Bobby Dodd and don't sit in those areas, I'd highly suggest avoiding the eastern stands if it's an afternoon game.

Honestly, I'm not even sure. I don't really get it. I think you are supposed to call them Atlanta United. It's really odd, and not something I care enough about to learn why they are like that.

It's probably just something to do with there being a bunch of "united" teams. I always just say Atlanta or Atlanta United, personally but don't really give a shite one way or the other lol
