Can MLB organizations get the death penalty? Knowing our luck, we'll be the first.

To put it mildly, John Coppolella was not well-liked among his peers. Well-loathed would be more accurate. A lot of schadenfreude right now.

Before the Dayton Moore rumor mill gets to warp speed, know this: The Braves' GM job, especially if Hart goes, is exceedingly coveted.

Eh, the reason it's such an attractive job (as noted above) is because they stockpiled talent recently. However, I guess we now aren't sure whether that was done legally or not.

Whatever, I just want to win again. Bring somebody in who knows what they are doing and keep the train chugging forward.

So...guessing we get banned from signing international players for a year like the Red Sox?

Sounds like some serious shenanigans, so probably something along those lines.

It's funny, my first thought was OH SHITE WE'RE FRICKED then I realized this isn't college football and that they can't take players away from us.

I bet Dave Stewart is the one who tipped us off to the MLB.

Of course - but GENERALLY it's lower level $300K level players.

However, all the reports seem to be that things were bad. So, they'll probably snatch everybody. Cause, of course they will.

Considering it sounds like we are in hot water with MLB I'd say no.

However, per media reports there are people lined up to take his job due to the insane depth of talent in our organization right now. So, for all his faults, you can't deny that.

Sadly doubt it until the 90s brain trust is booted. Sounds like to me they make the decisions and the GM is a puppet for them.

I just really hope we don't retreat back into our "The Braves Way" 1990s shell. However, I have a feeling that is what will happen. Dayton Moore, Snitker back, etc.

It sounds like this investigation actually goes back to when Schuerholz was GM so this might be what puts him in the home.

Not gonna rehash this but Frank Wren was completely trashed by anyone and everyone association with the 90 's regime. Granted he made some bad decisions but made many good ones that he never gets credit for

If anyone feels like Hart and Schuerholz did not fully know about whatever happened in Latin America, I have ocean front property in Kansas for you. They have long known and it should be the end for John Schuerholz.

In retrospective a full rebuild was likely not necessary. The first mistake was made in letting go of the veteran voices of the 2013 team and not replacing them. The second mistake was going full scorched earth on just about everyone Frank Wren related.

It's not that the 2014 Braves team wasn't talented enough, they were. They did not have a veteran voice because of no Hudson or McCann. And that was the main difference.

Everything I'm reading, even if some of it is false is just absolutely awful. It makes you wonder, who's in charge in the Braves FO? Is it the General Manager or is it John Schuerholz? If it's half true, it sounds like the GM has basically been John Schuerholz in name even after he retired and he might as well come out and say he's the GM. If it's something he doesn't like, he pushes back against it.
