Crawford has been notorious for trying to steer his players to others than Arkansas, he and Nolan got into it after Corliss because Crawford felt/feels the University owes him for getting his players. Nolan would not take his mid major players as a way of saying "thanks for Corliss" as a result he's spent all his power to make things difficult for Arkansas HCs who won't play his game.
So why don't anyone take his arse out? I'm sure a quick search of his computers history would do the trick. frick that motherfricker. They still have his arse on drive time sports all the time?

Guy on the radio this morning talked about the perception of NWA as being hostile or "alien" to African Americans.
I think there's some credence to that, not in it being hostile but in it not feeling like home. The irony is that Fayetteville is extremely progressive racially as a whole. FHS was the first school to integrate in the state (voluntarily). There's an embracing of multiculturalism and a generally "leftist" political bent on racial issues. But all that doesn't really matter if it doesn't feel like home, in that there aren't that many other African Americans here. There's definitely a perception in the central/southern/delta parts of the state that you don't go up in the hills.
All that being said, I know that there's a group of investors trying to put together a local radio station with "urban" programming (like 92.3 down in the LR/PB) for this very reason. While it might seem silly in the days of bluetooth radios in cars and the dying out of the radio station in general, I do think that an urban format radio station would help out in making African Americans feel more at home in this area. And I'm not just talking about the music... it's the DJ personalities, the callers that call in, etc.. that helps to promote a sense of racial community in an area.

I've seen too many people that try to make you feel inferior for not living/being from NWA. There is a divide in the state to me.

We don't even need to recruit at an "elite" level.
Just a level where we don't have walk-on talent starting and playing solid minutes on our team in year 5.

there's been several lr sucks, south arkansas sucks, nwa is where it's at type of threads (or hijacked threads started over a different topic) over the last year or so.
some of that was in jest but then some not and people get pissed, blah blah.

They should have a rally and see if they can get our moderators to resign, then replace them with at least 50% little rock posters.

I don't even know for sure,, who our mods are...
And that is a good thing mostly...
I am an admin on one board, a mod on another. Try to stay out of it as much as possible. Let things ride until someone so idiotically stupid pulls a dipcrap I must step in.
Have sent a few packing in my days.

Just a thought…..Do Syrians play basketball?
If so, Arkansas should take all 10,000.
Worst case scenario we get 10,000 new fans.
