Auburn is the worst 4-2 team in the nation...They are soft and their D is shite, not to mention their offense

We shouldn't and we better not lose to AU.

To me, that's just unacceptable. This is year 3 for both coaches. If we're getting beaten by Auburn in year 3 because of depth and talent when both coaches are in parallel tenures in taking over programs coming off dumpster seasons from 2012, then I'm completely out on Bert because we're going backwards and not forwards.

Auburn will pretty much always outrecruit us and have more talent and depth. Just the way it works.

Say what you want about Malzahn (I think he's a used car salesman myself), but he make chicken salad out of chicken shite in 2013 and rode a converted DB to an SEC Championship in effort to get the most talented players on the field. It's not like Marshall was some game-changing QB he inherited.

Well yeah it's easier to win with players you largely recruited. 2012 Auburn looked worse than their talent really was. They switched to a pro style when if they had stayed spread up-tempo they probably would have been an 8 win team and Malzahn's turnaround would look much less impressive

But they should have lost to Jacksonville state!! San Jose did whatever they wanted on offense for most of the day. So if they have more talent than us then Bert hasn't done his job in recruiting because obviously auburn doesn't have MUCH talent.

When he says talent, he means recruiting stars.

Key word is usually. Auburn clearly has an issue of some sort because their defense is terrible and their QB's are subpar. Either it's a coaching problem or they get more of those guys that are overrated and misranked than others.

People think our coaching is bad. It may be to an extent but we have less talent and overall, we are better than AU. I will lose my shite if we lose to them.

At some point people have to realize that the players have made stupid mistakes that cost us a few wins. We've been in every game the last 19 for the most part

Agreed. You can coach and pound false starts and other stupid penalties into their heads only so much...

fact is their roster is much more talented and deep than ours.

So are: LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, aTm (and that's just in the West). However, we are gaining ground - last year was the highest ranked recruiting class in a long time. This one may not be ranked as high primarily due to lower numbers, but some very good players are committed so far.

Let's see what happens when CBB gets a little more experience and depth in HIS recruiting classes before we go off the deep end.

I am not sure how talented or deep they are on the defensive side of the ball TBH. they had to start a TON of freshman, so that tells me the upper class men were not very good and that means they cannot be that deep. it would be different if the freshman were on the 2nd team but they are starting and you do not play freshman unless you absolutely have to.

Recruiting rankings don't take into account retention rates and development. Auburn likely has better athletes, but they're obviously missing a lot. Their near loss to Jacksonville State was worse then our loss to Toledo, imo.

The contrast in styles makes it a difficult game to predict, but I think we win by multiple scores.

Even more so then Texas in the bowl game this one defines Beliema's stay at Arkansas. It is a must win game against a team that looks ripe for the picking. We lose to Auburn and everyone well and truly loses their shite.

The larger question which looms is IF we were to somehow win this game would you and the couple of others I've seen finally be able to lose that sig pic you've been compelled to sport around the last couple of years?

Also, where is the seasonal thread where numerous posters from both squads participate in the ban bet which normally results in many casualties of war to this board? Is it a bit too early for it or does neither faction have the faith this year?

I might be missing someone but evidently Rig, Catfish & FlyAU are all hunkering down on this board. It's awfully quiet.

I have the same feeling about this game. A lot is riding on it, even though its just two SEC also rans this year. These are the types of games Bielema has to win to prevent us from sinking further.

We're not going to shut down Auburn offensively so it will most likely be a close game. If we lose another close one in the 4th I think everyone will go nuts. I will question Bielema/Eno's ability to put together a complete offensive gameplan.

Honestly, if this game is decided in the 4th, goes down to the final minutes.

Who do you think has the edge. Gus or Bielema?

Auburn posters, for the most part, are the worst on this board when it comes to disappearing when their team is down. Unlike our crazy posters, they will only make those types of bets when they're clearly the better team.
