What grade would you give him as AD up to this point? Do you see him still being here in 3 years. Will he make the next football or basketball hire at this school?

He would be a phomoneal AD at Stanford or some school That values Olympic Sports and "student athletes" and APR 9ver everything else and doesn't give a shite about football or fundraising.. Or at a place like Indiana 35 yrs ago.

In the current landscape of wild west outlaw NIL $ball he's in way over his head.

My grandson and I met him at Hoots in Mcgehee on one of his road show stops. Good guy and spent time with my grandson talking sports and played rock, paper scissors with him. It was may of 2022 coming off a good year in all sports and folks were high on him. We liked him real well.

That’s all I know about him. It was really big for my grandson who was 9 at the time.

Safe to say his favorability has tanked since this time a year ago. Bobby P hire has quieted things down again, but if we have a bad football team again next year, he’s going to face a ton of pressure

Wants to be known as a fiscally responsible AD. I want an AD known for winning.

He’s made good hires in other sports I don’t pay much attention to, but football will be what he’s judged on apparently.

If he had fired Pittman and he hadn’t gone full retard with the NIL, no one would have a bad thing to say about him.

Many of us are cynical enough to realize that the Petrino hire was an empty ‘wag the dog’ move to quiet an angry fan base and artificially generate excitement in what will almost certainly be a lost season next year.

That's the thing. Strictly on the basis of being an AD in general he's done a really good job, but the popular sports have taken a downturn.

He refuses to fix football. He can take his 33 championships and GTFO.

no shite. Nobody gives a frick how many underwater basket weaving titles we win. How about we not go 1-7 in the sec in football or not even make the NIT in basketball.

A year ago he'd get an A is what's crazy, or A-.

Now? C-. Women sports are doing fairly well, but no one cares and it loses money so you don't get much for that.

I think part of that is that even with the cynical take being true, it's almost guaranteed to result in some measure of improvement regardless.

No one is thinking Bobby is going to make 2010 happen again in one offseason (at least I hope not), but they'll have my eyeballs just out of the morbid curiosity for what a Pittman team that isn't led by KJ looks like.

Hope sells tickets.

That's my problem with HY. Hiring CBP was a brilliant move to sell tickets without paying Pittman a buyout and hiring an expensive coach. The balance sheet will look great next year while we continue to be a bottom tier SEC program.

D

Came in talking about coaches' salaries being out of control and then turned around and gave Pittman a ridiculous contract for an 8-win season.
