I was the first Hunter darksider because I despised how he basically took 2 years off during the Morris era — one of our darkest we've had in any sport — which struck me as downright cowardly. Funny how he was AWOL for large parts of 2018 and 2019, and then all of sudden is prominently featured in the locker room in any Hogs+ video after any win.

Remember the dumb “real fans” tweet he made after one of Morris’s early embarrassing losses (believe it was Colorado State)?

Remember when he made a bunch of bullshite, hollow remarks about how losing should be justification for firing a coach for cause and not paying his buyout? That comment alone — despite being nothing more than empty fan service — likely turned some prospective candidates away from our coaching search in 2019.

Remember when he said he was going to revolutionize coaching contracts and buyout structures? Oh wait, we now have a shitty, lame duck football coach we can’t fire because of his expensive buyout (which Hunter stupidly gave him after he got worked by his agent). He either wouldn’t or couldn’t fire Pittman, and it was largely due to financial constraints.

Remember how he joined the lobby effort to crusade against NIL? While some sort of governance and/or oversight is something that is needed, the optics of him joining the fight while we’re among the weakest collectives are pretty poor. Our NIL is shite, which falls at his feet.

In this new modern age, an Athletic Director basically has three responsibilities: raise funds, hire good coaches, and operationalize a world-class NIL collective to marry those two things (arm good coaches with funds for good players). Hunter sucks at all 3.

I don't particularly want Muss to hit the bricks. Team just didn't gel for some reason this year. Guess that's what happens with players being more concerned with 'what's in it for me' these days with NIL.

I think the smoke that he may be leaving/looking is just that - smoke. But where there's smoke...

The thing that makes me think this is true is that (I believe) we should have locked down a couple of good transfers out of the portal by now. There are currently 80 players in the On3 transfer port rankings that are 4* or above.
You'd think we'd have a couple of them by now if Muss was working hard for next year.

Agreed, but HY is a different breed, have been around him twice... listening to his praises of our sports programs, he of course sings the praises of Gymnastics, Softball, T&F, and Men's BB until now.

What Feral said above seems true to me.
1. He is always in the Pic with a win, and hiding from the hard times.. not answering questions.
2. He is the main reason our NIL program sucks.
3. He is a blowhard.
4. What he is doing to BWA is nuts. Needs to be stopped imho.
5. He talks a big game, and winnows around in the shadows when the going gets tough. He also admittedly said that he plans to retire from this within a few more years. Fwiw.
