I would have moved the Southern Miss game to Little Rock. Our team obviously wasn't prepared to play in a fully bowled stadium and it showed this past Saturday.

Use Hocker to punt conventionally, although it is still possible he shanks one away from the coverage, but those usually go out of bounds instead of setting up a return for TD.

You should shut up and trust the coaches. Herp derp.

How about a wheel route for Jwill

derby thows the wheel route like I do on saturday. It's a drunk sloppy attempt to look cool. We saw him try and fail at least once that I remember.

while we're at it some seam/drag routes for the TE's.

drags to the TE would have been nice. Derby doesn't time those type of throws very well though.

Run a lot of wildcat--Rutgers knew we couldn't pass so why to keep them honest? Might as well have an extra blocker in.

Screen passes--When your QB can't throw then give him easy throws.

A few deep shots--I know Derby isn't great but with single coverage why not take a shot every now and then??

Feature Collins in the 4th--I'm not saying he is head and shoulders above JWill but he was more effective Sat

Something tells me the wildcat was sparingly used before BA got injured. If he misses again this week I bet they roll it out even more.

For real. And I'll say this about Derby. One of his best passes of the day, under pressure, was right on the money on that screen pass to Collins. It's a simple play, but I was happy for him that he made it happen. I just don't get why we can't run WR screens at ALL. Even with Petrino when we had Joe Adams we hardly ever used it and when we did it was hardly ever successful.

Do we have any idea how good of an arm he has? I've never seen him throw the ball downfield further than 15 or 20 yards.

I just don't get what we're lacking that other teams seem to have. I know it's not a huge part of peoples' offenses around the country, but there are quite a few schools that can pull this play off with at least some consistency. Just baffles the mind that we don't seem to have any successes in the past decade.

I can't make the damn play work worth a shite on NCAA . I'm probably not the best person to ask about this. I've wondered the same thing though.

I used to be money on the older versions, but it's way harder on NCAA 14. When you pass it to the guys, it takes them 2 seconds to figure out how to run again.

But yeah, I'm with you. Just don't know what we're missing. Probably something to do with mobile, athletic tackles or something.

Its all hindsight, but they have got do more creative play calling when the running game is being taken away.

I saw that too, and he had Hatcher uncovered on a crossing route.

Don't touch the stick right when you catch it. The CPU will take over momentarily and you don't have that awkward lag.

Honestly, I was more upset about our busted coverage/assignments from the LB's and the penalties we had more than the loss.

I understand this was a hyped up game for them and they want to play physical, but penalties absolutely killed us. How many times did we get them into a 3rd down situation where we would have had a stop and we commit stupid little mistakes that gave them 1st downs, or when we convert a 1st down only to get it called back by a penalty?

Other than that, and our LB corps, I was very pleased with the game. BA will come back and we'll play some good football.

ETA: I can't wait until about 2 seasons from now when all our playmakers will be seasoned and experienced. We gonna be STAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKED

I think the rugby punt is fine, but not when we're punting from our own 15-20 yard line. Do that shite when we're punting from the 50 and we want to pin their asses. I don't get the point of rugby punting in an area where you want to kick the shite out of the football.

I've seen other teams do it with a line drive end over end that bounces for 70 yards... I seent it.

I would've liked to have seen more of Collins in the Wildcat.
