I'm glad they are doing this. Especially if it means we are getting closer to ending Razorback apparel in 20 different shades of red.

I agree. I like the bright, cardinal red.

Bud Walton's floor looks fricking PINK this year. The paint they market at Home Depot as "Razorback Red" looks pink.

The old paint on Bud Walton is what I like, and I wish we'd go with that all across the board.

That bird has a ton of different shades of red. Which shade exactly do you want?

That is like saying eggshell is just white.

Anthracite is a grayer satin black.

Eh, I'll wait and see.

However, I do like a fairly brighter shade of red, sort of along the lines of these:

Exactly. The shade of red on the McFadden jerseys was perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Agree. From the design to the color to the white away scheme, it was the best we've had in a long time. I absolutely hated that we went away from it when Petrino and Long came in.

It's very, very dark gray.

So it sounds like multiple sports will be getting new uniforms and not just football.

When the sun hits the jersey's they shine just like the majority of the bird.

I even like a slightly brighter red as wmr suggested (Baseball and Basketball)

During games against Alabama you can pick out our fans in the stands and I want to keep it that way.

Cardinal Red isn't named after the bird.

It is named after these guys:

"Cardinal is a vivid red, which may get its name from the cassocks worn by Catholic cardinals (although the color worn by cardinals is actually scarlet), or from the bird of the same name."

200 on the Hog hat and 202 on the shirt.

202 is vomit therefore I hope we have a lot of white and black offsetting it. 202 sure isn't vivid.

So we aren't having anything to do with our heritage of having a Cardinal mascot? Brilliant.

I'm saying the official color is Cardinal red.

A color most incorrectly associate with the bird or the baseball team.

Congrats on being wrong, again, I guess.

Who's wrong?

"Cardinal is a vivid red, which may get its name from the cassocks worn by Catholic cardinals (although the color worn by cardinals is actually scarlet), or from the bird of the same name."

For those who need a visual.. Here are vivid colors.
