Bobby Petrino + SMILE: 19-21
Houston Nutt's WORST 5 year stretch: 2001-2005, 18-23 (counting the SEC championship game loss)
Danny Ford: 16-24-1 with an SEC Championship game loss
Bret Bielema: 10-23, Must go 7-0 in remaining games AND win the SEC Championship to match Nutt. Must go 6-1 in remaining SEC games to match Ford and can't Match Petrino and that other guy.
A realistic outcome is 2-6 or at best 3-5 in the SEC this season.
That would put our coach at 12-28 or 13-27 in 5 years in the SEC.
He's gone unless he wins at least 8 fricking games.
Or we absolutely feel like we can't get another coach to come here...

as I wrote in another thread.. .There is one very influential donor who wants to aid in the CBB ouster but highly desires Butch Davis to be here
Good Lord, how old is BD now? How would he recruit?
Grasping at straws imo

Shows that just because you have money doesn't make you very bright.

The buyout drops to $11.7M on January 1st.
That changes my mind.
If we even get to 2 wins, he's gone. That's not very much this day and age. We gave Nutt 3MM 10 years ago for no reason at all.

We gave Nutt 3M to resign instead of paying him 3.5m or 4m to fire his arse.

Can't remember but I didn't think he had a buyout?
Thought that was just a John White gift.

CBB may get another season, but it's solely based off the coaching market and whether or not improvement is clearly possible.
Also, take in to account that Ole Miss, Auburn, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and even Florida could be searching for a new HC after this season. Ole Miss would be the only program in that group that we could say we are better than and even that may be a stretch right now.
We may have to stick it out another season just for that reason alone.

If cbb wins 5 games and he doesn't do something that causes a moral clause to be used... He will be here for another year.
There is one caveat to that... If somehow, someway Jeff actually takes the offer of one or two very wealthy patrons and takes them up on their choice of coach... Then it could happen. I seriously doubt this scenario.
Think about next season with a Qback that seems to be a beast, a great RB group, WR's who have settled in, our D should be much improved again if Rhoades stays. And the Oline... Well... Nevermind on them
We could possibly win 9 games next season with CBB... as in another thread by Admiral I think. I really do not see CBB going anywhere yet.

If Fat arse only musters 5 wins, Rhoades bails, Enos and the other Fat arse is fired.

Espin covers sports?
Who knew?
What is our social justice index? We do have a lot of white guys on the team relatively speaking.

If you see more than one likely win, you're pretty fricking delusional at this point.
We should beat Missouri, they are awful
South Carolina doesn't look good either. They needed a last minute FG to beat LA Tech.
Ole Miss is bound to fall apart at some point this season.
Idk how we'll play but all 3 of those games are winnable even with our problems. We will get blown out by Alabama, Auburn, and probably Mississippi State. LSU has the tools to blow us out but they look disorganized so they probably beat us in a close game.
