We need to go get Elko ASAP

I’m a fan of Elko. I’d also like to see how Duke does this season before I completely jump on that train. Duke caught a ton of breaks last year and had a pretty favorable schedule. But, his tenure at Duke has been impressive so far either way. They were terrible when he got there.

Just not sure about a defense-first coach here, seems very Bielema-ish. A&M might go after him though.

We had Kiffin, Sanders, and Norvell on the hook wanting the job when it was open, and blew it with all of them for stupid reasons.

That will always rub me the wrong way. Yurachek is a damn great AD otherwise, I hope he learned from that whole experience. When it comes to hiring football coaches, winning is the only thing that really matters. You don't need a saint that's a people pleaser with a spotless background, you just need to WIN.

Like I said, I hope he learned his lesson for this next go-round. It might be coming sooner than later

Kiffin was a money thing Although I’m not sold entirely on he just didn’t choose ole miss over us.

Norvell wasn’t an option when HY was the ad. That was the Morris hire.

I don’t blame HY for not hiring Deon Sanders. Who would have known?

It’s a rotation thing. Long way from feed the studs.

Bielema didn't work out for various reasons, but on paper, we went out and got ourselves a high-performing coach who was firing on all cylinders at a lateral job.

I hear what you're saying, and it's probably easy for me to say this after the fact, but I never thought Bielema would work here, at least in terms of putting us in contention for the SEC. He said we were gonna out-Bama Bama. No way was that going to work with the players Bama was running out there and the players we were.

I'm 53, and though I remember the Hatfield years, I never thought we were a real contender except when Petrino was here. He could win with lesser players, and that's what it's going to take for us.

Which essentially means it’s a coaching thing.

AJ Green is shifty and is a faster Alex Collins.

In an Enos offense, you’ve gotta have a back who can juke at the LOS because there are always free DL coming in the backfield because of Enos’ love for slow developing running plays.

If we continue to not give Green ample carries, we will be 2-5 after 7 games.

Are you me typing that out? I'm 48 and I've seen some of the best and worst years of Hog football. I like to pretend the current state of our football program doesn't bother me, but it does. When BMFP was fired, it was one of the lowest days for me.
