AA misses a wide open Drew Morgan on the pass to Keon that he dropped in the Endzone.
Next drive RWIII fumble.

We convert those 2 scores aTm quits.

The score right before half doomed us I think. Well that and the 7 goal line plays that didn't work.

Ellis went to cover the RB in motion left the middle open, bad decision on Ellis' part.

AA made a bad read on the other goal line drive

I'm watching the game now for the first time and it's amazing how good Allen already is. If we had last years OL, this offense would be unstoppable. Just once, I wish all of our units would click at the same time.

That's a recruiting issue that I've seen time and time again in Fayetteville. They go guns blazing to cover weaknesses or build depth in a couple spots and leave other positions to weak recruiters or just simply don't chase as hard as the positions with big time holes.

This year it seems the secondary is the big position push. The bad news is Montaric Brown has better offensive stats than he does on defense. I like our chances to flip Chevin Calloway even though the coaches he committed to sure point to them whooping their in-state rival getting the coach fired, who'd be the guy coaching him here.

We didn't push for big time RB's because we had Collins and JWill the last 2 seasons and now we're depending on a sophmore who played 1/2 a season and a true frosh to carry the load.

We didn't have any WR's when Bert got here and we've signed 3-4 a season but not a single one of them were/are lauded as elite type of prospects. We don't even chase after top 20 WR's.

Next year we'll have a seasoned QB but super inexperienced WR's. We need to get the young guys in the game a few plays per game, even if it's just to block.

We haven't signed a legit OT in 3 years. 3 OL in last year's class is unacceptable. I'm not counting Raulerson because we were lucky to get him late. We only signed 3 OL in 2015's class causing us to move Froholdt and Jake Hall from the DL. 2014 we only signed 3 OL, wasted a signee on Jovan Pruitt who we knew wouldn't qualify, we turned Ragnow in a Center, Wallace finally got playing time last week and got the start Sat. he didn't look any better than Jackson by the end of the game. In 3 recruiting classes we signed 2 OT that are better suited to be Guards. Anderson has at least went and got commitments from 3 legitimate Outside tackles.

Our DL recruiting class last year will be nasty as can be in 3 years. But we didn't recruit much in front of them. the 2013 class didn't have shite but KyTyrus Marks who never played a down and struggled to even make the 120 man fall camp roster. It had Tevin Beanum who's been a knuckle head and has certainly looked like a player who missed spring ball, summer workouts and fall camp. Then there's the walk-on Roessler who's been playing way more than any slow undersized DE should ever play in the SEC.

The 2014 DL class had Bijohn who hasn't lived up to his ranking yet. Anthony Brown a Randy Shannon reach that's gone. Armon Watts who was a +1 to help get Brian Wallace. Jake Hall a +1 to try and get Frazier who's now on OL. Randy Ramsey a Safety we turned OLB we kicked off the team then let him pay his way for a year and he might still be paying his tuition and turned into a DE.

The 2015 DL class had Froholdt now a super green LG, Jamario Bell a physical freak that may never see the field and is a TE in a deep position. Ledbetter from JUCO who has been pretty good for us. Daytrieon Dean who'll likely never play. Derrick Graham a LB turned DE turned transfer. then TJ Smith who should be beating out Roessler and Beanum if we're being honest.

We keep signing good HS safeties and beefing them up to be bad D1 linebackers. We're simply not signing the caliber of athlete needed in the secondary. It's a mistake we keep making and it's hurting our ability to sign players at other positions as we keep investing scholarships back there and we've had attrition issues at CB/S that hasn't helped the situation at all.

They've got to get a roster management plan together that is a "rising tide lifts all boats" type of approach and build depth across all positions. Because next year we're still going to have OL issues and be younger, we'll have a whole new crop of WR's and unproven TE's, the DL will be needing DE's to emerge, LB will be better with Scoota in the middle and Greenlaw and Eugene/Hackett being Seniors. The Secondary should be decent at S but we'll take a step back at CB unless we can sign a couple super prospects.

What? We pushed hard for Dalvin Cook in 2014. And in 2015 we pushed hard for Chris Warren. This year we signed Whaley and Hammonds and for next year we have Hayden committed. We have made mistakes in recruiting but you're just making shite up here. Bert said when he arrived that he would try to sign one great RB every season and he's tried to do that. 2014 is the only year he hasn't, and it's only because Juan Day is apparently made of glass

We pushed for tyrie cleveland and missed by a cu nt hair to Florida. Dude is elite.

Next on D line we have not recruited any true D ends in years now. Or ones we can play. They all are big guys who will end up playing inside (like agim is now). Marshall, TJ Smith, and Agim have all basically moved inside.

Also does anyone know for sure what was up with beanum?

Don't know how you guys torture yourselves like this.

Our ineptness in the red zone was the killer for me. Just the thought of watching us get stopped at the damn goal line like we did made me ill. Still does. Oh well. Time to move on. Seasons not over.

And we're not LSU.

I've seen this said quite a few times. I know Ellis is a punching bag for Hog fans, but it wasn't a mistake by him. That was his assignment. The mistake was in the scheme. If you want to blame a player, blame the safety who took a horrible angle

Agreed. People act like Ellis cleared out the middle on a whim. As if he's just back there making decisions based on what he feels like doing. That was a play specifically designed to clear him out, and it worked.

You can blame Ellis but the D-line got pushed around to open those holes and Greenlaw got sucked into blocks on the 2 long TD runs by Knight.

Plenty of blame to go around, including Robb for not making adjustments. They basically ran the exact same play multiple times for huge chunks.

The halves were like 2 different stories, A&M definitely won the halftime.

I still think A&M is going to give everyone fits this year. Knight is a solid QB and they have some serious weapons around him and a gameplan that is difficult to stop.

They will torch everyone except Bama and they may even torch them too. Ole Miss put 43 points on Bama and with less of a running game.
