Thanks for the heads up about Forester. I'm going to reach out to them and try and get them some more publicity.

They are definitely on the right track, hopefully with more sales, they can change the dynamics of the industry.

This is one of the largest lies ever executed, no industrial company uses these in the poultry industry. It originated from a smaller company attempting to gain market-share by making it one of their trademarks.

That is an issue of breeder lines being selected for heavy meat and farmers not going to slaughter soon enough.
Sorry to burst a bubble here, but in the time that I worked in the food industry at production and growth levels I learned that 95% of the organic food craze is run by people playing on the fears of major companies injecting crap into animals.

Yep, people are crazy because they don't want to eat chickens that are filled with all kind of antibiotics, which create drug resistant bacteria.
My family actually owned the 3rd largest poultry industry years ago, before we sold it to the Saudi's. So I do know a little something about dem chickens.
That's why I raise my own.

I didn't make any argument about antibiotics
Edit: by the by, I wasn't aware ACOLID had made any purchases in the USA.

And another thing, you know that practically every chicken is vaccinated at hatch in the industry and they are still considered organic as long as it's deemed necessary for flock safety. So, I guess I ask what is the point of your post other than to brag; because you aren't adding anything real.

We are talking about chicken not the poster.

Right, my apologies. I just find the 'organic' sales pitch and the misinformation he's using in addition to be repugnant.
I agree that buying locally and supporting the little guy is far superior when able, but please do so for the right reason.

Should have stated a Saudi family with citizenship

The part where these small to medium growers still get there product from industrial hatcheries where they are vaccinated and given antibiotics. Also probably where you claimed your family owned a company larger than Purdue poultry.

Umm, there's no such thing as a grass fed chicken lol. A chicken naturally eats grubs, worms, insects etc.

I work for a large poultry processor, (none of those mentioned in the thread) and I will tell you that for the most part all companies raise and process birds fairly similarly. My particular company grows the birds for a longer period of time to reach a larger bird. With that said we also use antibiotics. it is impossible to raise the # of birds that we do and not use antibiotics to prevent mass sickness/ leading them to be inedible/usda rejected. People cry about the use of antibiotics and are probably the same people that would cry if they found out the chickens had illnesses that could be prevented by antibiotics and producers didn't use them.
I get tired of hearing bleeding hearts complain about chicken on roids/enhancers none of which is true. These birds are bred to be larger to produce the largest amount of meat possible.
So... Buy you smart/organic/hippie chicken if you like. Just know that 98% of the chicken eaten in this country is produced the same way.
