The Rev's bowl thoughts...

Lets see how many I get right.. 
If bama wins,Bama Cotton Bowl/Orange... Probably Cotton... And Florida Citrus, Ole Miss Sugar
If Fla Wins, Bama Sugar and Ole Miss Citrus, Florida Outback
K, for the pick six
Texas TAMU Music City... Troll worthy here
LSU.... Texas Bowl, see the above. Glorious
Tenner.... Outback, if Florida loses SEC C game
GA.... Belk Bowl
Miss State ... Tax Slayer
Arkansas.... Liberty
Now, why is the TAMU/LSU Choices troll worthy? Because TAMU was pizzed that they were overlooked for the Texas Bowl last season and did not support the Liberty Choice at all. There were some back room handshakes and deals made to make sure Arkansas got the Texas Bowl against Texas.
So this year they are sure they will play Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl.. Yet, LSU perhaps pulled a power deal with the SEC offices. If TAMU winds up in Nashville it will not be a supported ticket.
I may have the Belk bowl and Tax Slayer mixed... may be vice versa.

aren't you plugged into these sorts of things? I thought arkansas was wanting something other than the liberty? we can't make some more handshakes and get what we want? we have the CFP chairman and he made sure bama was getting in period.

Well, remember the SEC C is tomorrow and the many bowl reps of the SEC are presently in Atlanta making the rounds.
We will see if my info is right or not on Sunday at around 4:30 I will get a definitive answer about 30 mins before info goes public.

He is already getting his hot cocoa stand set up as we speak. I would be shocked (though certainly not dismayed) if we end up anywhere but the Liberty Bowl. It's just what we're destined to do.

We needed to beat MSU for us to be picky about what bowl we get. A team that loses to Tech and Toledo, plus 3 conference losses, has no room to complain. Difference between Citrus and Liberty was a FG against MSU.

I agree. if we had won out from the bye week, I would feel differently. the problem is after we lost to miss st it sucked a ton of momentum out from us. I literally felt it.

Hope you are incorrect in your guess, but how in the hell the Libert bowl gets a 3rd place 5-3 SEC west team is beyond me. The last time we went, we were 3-5 and 4th in the West.

Bowl games stupidly look at total record over SEC record and not head to head SEC match ups when placing teams.

Prestige wise Liberty is at the bottom of those six. That is why our administration preferred other locations.

Without a doubt.
Its going to be a hard sell to recruits having to tell them you will be playing in LR and in average years you're likely to have to play in Memphis as well due to tickets sales based on proximity trumping all.
That should land some nice 2* prospects.
