Bert is basically Nutt with a better pre-Arkansas resumé. Both are/were absurdly inconsistent.

I'd argue that Nutt was a decent game day coach who sucked as a program manager. Bert is a better program manager (I think) but sucks on game day and at getting his team up for a big game.

At this point, their records don't even deserve to be compared. Bert is 25-25 overall and 10-22 in the SEC.

I'll repeat, after 4 years our coach has won a total of 10 conference games...and we somehow can't fire him.

Mark my words -- if it gets to the point where Bert is a lame duck coach, it'll be uglier than Nutt's ouster. Bert is way more petty and loud mouthed than Nutt was.

And I say that as someone who loathed Houston Nutt.

Bert got 7 wins and was rewarded with a $15 million dollar buyout currently.
