Not a good first game but I guess that's to be expected

Koch currently 3rd ranked catcher in the nation. Pretty impressed with his development. Knew him in high school. Knew he was good but I always underestimate local talent. Kid is legit. That whole senior class was stacked though.

Someone in the bottom of our order needs to start hitting. Crap they're bad.

RPI moves up 14 spots from 55 to 41 with the win at Missouri today.

Biggers is excluded
Cole is hitting below .200 on the season. Kenley hasn't had a hit all season. Thats a weak spot in the lineup.

Here come the Hogs. Dangerous as hell if Knight and Stephan pitch and that offense gets rolling like today.

I don't really consider Kenley and Cole part of the regular lineup. If you put McFarland and Gates (from what we've heard) in there instead then there really isn't a terrible hitter in there except maybe Spanburger but he is a home run waiting to happen too.

But we have to include them because that is who we have to go with right now. Grant I think must have either re-injured himself today or had stiffness. Was odd he got yanked after the weather delay.
Spanberger did have a good game today, but he really needs to learn how to hit a breaking ball. He went 2-5 today, which is good for him, but he needs to figure some stuff out at the plate or he is going to get nothing but junk the rest of the season.
We have two weak holes in the line up, then a sporadic Spanberger who will hit a foul ball a mile, then K in the same at bat. Happens every time.

Boys have responded well so far today. That's what good teams do. Time to finish them.
