We had our chances yesterday but just didn't capitalize. Really need to finish out strong in Frisco and go 2-0 from here on out.

That 8th Inning shot with two base runners just didn't have what it takes. Would have been epic if it would have gone out.

The OSU-Nebraska game finished 1-0. Doesn't sound like there will be much scoring this weekend.

Wow, what a trip to the woodshed for the Cornhuskers. That one will sting up there in Lincoln.

Scroggins and Campbell possibly done for the year.

"FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said Tuesday the Razorbacks probably have lost two more pitchers to season-ending injuries.
Sophomore right-handers Isaiah Campbell and Cody Scroggins are "probably done for the year," Van Horn said following a 12-3 win over ULM. "As far as 100 percent, I think I need to get a little more info and release all that, but that's what I'm thinking."
Van Horn said an official release could come later this week with more information on the players' injuries. A team spokesperson said he was unsure when that would be."

Huge blow to the team.

Just in general in this era of baseball....Kids throw so much

College season, summer leagues, fall ball, then regular season. Its just too much.

Even teenagers...high school season, summer travel ball, 2 month break, then start regular season practice in january.

The strain on these kids arms and the amount of ruined arms these days is scary.

Most arms are ruined in HS and travel ball. When they get to college they have lingering damage and it's only a matter of time before an injury.

DVH was talking preseason about how when freshmen get on campus many have to rest arm because all the use during spring HS season.

Yeah we have to do a better job of protecting them because you just see so many young pitchers suffering injuries you'd usually see in someone who has been pitching professionally for a few years. They are just wearing themselves out. When you think of the speed they are throwing at and how many times they are throwing without a break its amazing we don't have more injuries.

Its not like Softball where the delivery means you can run your ace out there a few times a week.

For the Hogs... this is a pretty solid blow.

Was a good win. Not sure how much Rhode Island will have left for game 2. They aren't a bad team though.

How many pitchers have we lost so far this year, including fall? Seems like an awful lot.

I'm of the opinion guys aren't throwing enough and pitching too much.

3 pitchers so far

Kids are throwing too many pitches at a younger age, travel ball, throwing the heavy ball etc..

Tommy John's surgery's are at a premium in college and the big leagues.

3-2 Bonfield walk off single in G2.

Stephan was masterful. Retired first 19 he faced. Lost perfect game on Shaddy error then lost no hitter to next batter on single. Still he only allowed 2 hits while striking out 13 and getting 25 outs from the 30 hitters he faced.

Shaddy is a liability in the field. 3 errors over the 2 games today.
