I don't know if this Stat is kept anywhere but I'd be curious to know what our opponents average kick off starting position is. We may only allow 19.52 yds We'd need to be kicking to the 6 yo line to break even everytime. In some cases we aren't kicking it near that deep.

The adjusted average starting position is 27.3.

ETA: Although that doesn't factor in the bowl game so it would be a little higher.

(8:15 - 1st) Lane Saling kickoff for 48 yds , Morgan Burns return for 18 yds to the KanSt 35

(2:22 - 1st) Lane Saling kickoff for 39 yds , Winston Dimel return for 7 yds to the KanSt 33

13:05 - 2nd) Lane Saling kickoff for 52 yds , Morgan Burns return for 41 yds to the Ark 46

(2:08 - 2nd) Lane Saling kickoff for 50 yds , Morgan Burns return for 32 yds to the KanSt 47

(15:00 - 3rd) Cole Hedlund kickoff for 32 yds , Tanner Wood return for 3 yds to the KanSt 36

(7:54 - 3rd) Cole Hedlund kickoff for 35 yds , Tanner Wood return for 8 yds to the KanSt 38

(12:04 - 4th) Cole Hedlund kickoff for 29 yds , Landon Root return for a loss of 1 yard to the KanSt 35 , Morgan Burns return for no gain to the KanSt 35

(4:46 - 4th) Cole Hedlund kickoff for 32 yds , Andre Davis return for 6 yds to the KanSt 39

Holy Hell it was even worse than I thought. The only time Kstate started a possession behind the 33 was when they got a 10 yard penalty that pushed to the 26.

Not once did we hold them to a starting position behind the 25. The touchback would have been the better option bar none. Our defense has never shown a proclivity to stripping the ball. Either we're not teaching it or our guys just aren't good enough to tackle and try to strip.

Honestly, with that field position we were giving up we're lucky they were playing a WR at QB. I mean the guy wasn't AJ Derby level bad, but he wasn't going to beat us w/ his arm.

thank you. While I got through most of the season I was dreading the rest of the games. UT-Martin was pretty crappy to comb through.
