Lots of sports bars now.
Grub's location is probably underused real estate. With the WAC expansion and the new Theater 2 building going up south of it soon, that place should be upscale, or bulldozed and built into something a few stories tall.

I don't hate Grub's I'm just saying, the property values are going to skyrocket.

Grubs' uptown spot was one of the top 3 worst restaurant experiences I've ever encountered. The management and kitchen is woeful.
I've kept from writing about Grubs because despite all the fun I've had there I won't be able to keep that experience out of the column. I'll have to suck it up soon but it could not have been much worse. Only positive was a server that liked to joke around w/ me.

I like foghorns, but I dont like how they are in bee with hogville. Same with the arkansas media.

Grubs Uptown waitress came by to refill my drink literally every couple minutes. I call it Drinks instead of Grubs now

I don't see the problem with Foghorn's or Grub's other than if you have bad experiences there. Jeff Hodges is a good dude. Grub is a good dude. It's cool to see local guys who I went to college with make good (Hodges was a Kappa Sig with me, and Grub was always a bartender at the JRs).
Like others, I'll be curious to see if Grub's can stay downtown. When the parking deck was first planned, one of the options had Grub's being torn down for the deck... so I'm not sure who owns that property, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Grub's edged out in favor of something more ambitious from the property owner.

I actually like Foghorns as well. The College Ave location is fun for NCAA tournament action

It just seems to me like that places prices are constantly going up while the food quality is constantly going down. I don't mind paying your outrageous drink and food prices but you could serve me a good drink and chicken wings that aren't one bite worth of food.

Grubs is a classic example of a place that does just about everything but none of it is worth writing home about.
Uptown was an abortion of an idea though with some of the most meh service in town. The decor and building don't go with the food and service what so ever. It's like they thought hey lets make a classy grubs but serve the same lame and tame food.
