Bielema pulled more 4 star out of state recruits the first month he was here than Petrino did in four years
so
NO.

I would want the whiskey drinking, Harley riding, pussy slaying, middle finger to Lester, any way you mix it, Bobby Mother fricking Petrino back over little dog loving, fat arse Bert, anyday

Jesus Christ we are 2 weeks out from the season and this is what y'all want to talk about. ArHog is right, this belongs on hogville.

Curious, if somehow you were promised that he was a changed man and erased how it ended here at Arkansas. Would you take him back?
This does little good to think about. He will never be back. Is he a Top 5 college coach? IMO, yes. Do I think he was a perfect fit for Arkansas? IMO, yes. Let's face it, our recruiting base sucks compared to other SEC schools, and Petrino was ideal for making 2 and 3 stars play above and beyond their true capabilities.
With all of that said, I believe Bielema is building something that will sustain itself year in and year out. He is also a much better human being.
ETA: I would be perfectly content with consistently staying in the range of 9-11 wins per season. Doing that would make Hog fans forget about Petrino.

Of course he will never come back and he shouldn't, was bored and wondering if the character aspect would change it for some people.

Bobby wasn't hired for his character. He was a snake who was an offensive guru. That said, I wouldn't want him back, no. He disgraced the program.

I'm saying barring what happened. The question is more directed at if you were happy about what was happening on the field and if he could sustain it.

No, getting boat raced by top tier sec teams was getting tiresome.
Yep, that Sugar bowl and #3 rankings in the nation sucked, or are you talking about the back to back losses to Bama by 104 pts?
Not sure

I'd lean towards no, mostly because of how his programs at both Louisville (round 1) and Arkansas practically fell apart basically the minute he left.
He's a damn good football coach who can call plays in a masterful way create momentum or blow open a lead, but he also has no track record of sustained program success. He's never been anywhere more than 4 years, and the fact that our roster was a complete garbage fire in both 2012 and 2013 tells me all I need to know about whether he can build a lasting program.
If my life depended on the outcome of one football game, I'd probably pick him to coach it, but if I'm picking a coach for the next 10 years it's probably Bert. You have to build depth and a physical mindset to compete in the SEC and win on the road.

Where are you getting those names from? A lot of them weren't 4 stars.
Also, this is a beyond pointless thread. No one wanted him gone while he was here so obviously we would take him back in a fantasy world where nothing outside of football takes place.
However, the world isn't that cut and dry and we now have a new staff in place that is cleansing up the mess left behind from Petrino and company. It's easy to see why, in this world, people wouldn't want to go back to him. They've seen the troubles that came from that tenure and wouldn't want to go through them again when something else happened.
You just can't ask this question without feelings on both sides coming into play. It's just a pointless excercise in my opinion and accomplishes nothing but infighting.

Yeah, I know. I was just pointing out that we had some really good players regardless of what recruiting websites say.
I should add Austin Allen, since he should be a really good player by the time he's done at Arkansas

Disagree 100%. Its created discussion, unlike most of the threads on here. Whether its a troll or not, its brought our people to a thread, and they actually commented on said thread.
