There was a tax increase voted on in November for the overpass and to build additional roads to improve traffic flow from Oak street to I40. It will also help fund construction of a couple big roundabouts near Lewis Crossing. We love roundabouts (but they are seriously cool).

That was my first thought as well. I would have guessed they would have had one 25 years ago at least.

The population in 1990 was about 28k. Conway was still a pretty small town back then. Not that it is a big city now.
