Was just thinking about those 2 steals Antony made in subsequent trips last night. And then Mitchell’s blockedy block sequence.

Then I thought of that game earlier in the year when Devo was guarding the guy and he basically backed him up almost to half court. It was the epitome of great d.

Ricky’s had a few amazing dunks.

What else ya got that I’m not considering?

In a broader sense, I think this win over Kentucky AT Rupp is a huge deal mentally for the team.
No, it's not a vintage Kentucky team, but was still Kentucky at Rupp.

I think we also see when a game is called correctly, this team can get after it.

When you have whistle happy refs it takes this team out of its rhythm.

In most games half of the Mitchell's blocks would have been called fouls.

I unfortunately didn't get to watch it live, missed my 6:30 flight from Dallas to XNA due to 30 minute delay leaving Mexico.

Got on the 7:30 flight, but with the weather we were delayed another hour. Fortunately we made it home because it was looking grim.

Glad we got the win, and did it with style. Proud of these guys continuing to improve. Lets keep it going.

Nailed it.

its why we looked so solid before conference play. The refs weren't trigger happy SEC refs wanting to blow the whistle all night.

For some reason last night, they let us play like a normal game should be played.

The play last night (first half I believe) where one of the Mitchell’s dives on floor for a loose ball…. Finds Graham, who then hits a streaking Council. RC4 immediately throws the lob to AB. It was a thing of beauty. I think I have the players right. And wish someone more techie than myself could turn that play into a .gif.

This.

It was refreshing to see the refs adjust to the pace and intensity of the game and not try to dictate it with their whistles.

I’m sure UK fans will bitch about the refs (which you shouldn’t do when you get your arse kicked), but it was a pretty evenly and cleanly called game.

Council’s and-1 against Tshiebwe in the second half last night seemed to lock in our positive momentum.

When Rocket busted that 68 yard run up the middle against Ole Miss and KJ immediately started celebrating because he knew he housed it the moment he broke through the line.

Don't forget Mitchell straight picking Wallace's pocket at half court.

That was awesome.

Lots of great ones. Last night though - Devo passes in to Mitchell who is covered, Mitchell kicks it right back to Devo (might’ve gotten that mixed with an awesome Anthony Black pass also from the top of the key but going with Devo), Devo fires it back at 90 miles an hour for an easy 2. One thing is certain, and the guy is a great player - but we dominated (the Mitchells mostly) Oscar Tshiebwe last night. It was like being a kid again and in terms of the feeling of awesome games in the past against Kentucky. If we did truly turn a corner/level up this week with two road wins, nobody should want to play us right now.

Agree. The SEC’s level of officiating is horrible and I find it hard to believe that they are not bribed in certain cases. The Blue Mist almost descended at about the 8 minute mark but then we were smart and put our foot on the gas to the point that they couldn’t keep calling BS fouls to keep Kentucky in the game. Still. Awesome outcome. 1 more in the correct column.
