There was a proposal for a big ugly condo tower with groundfloor retail there about 10 years ago.

There were some crazy-arse proposals for Dickson Street back then, including a 10-story condo tower on top of Georges.

Here are a couple more that were never built, back in the halcyon days of Fayetteville real estate speculation pre-housing crisis:
This was once proposed at the corner of Dickson & Block Ave:
This is the only one I wish would have been built that wasn't. It was supposed to go at College Ave & Mountain:

Barber Group also got approval for two of these towers out on Joyce where Mellow Mushroom and Mason's actually went in. That's why those buildings look like they do. One of the towers was supposed to go where Centennial Bank now sits.

I'd like to see a multistory building go on the corner of church ave and dickson, a lot of wasted space there

That last building is beautiful, would look really nice. I'm guessing it would be the tallest building in Fayetteville if built.

Considering the developer is still in federal prison at the moment, it's highly unlikely that it will ever be built.
The lots have been sold and smaller development went into that area instead. It never made any sense to begin with.

Nobody is really excited about a damned Taco Bell Cantina on Dickson Street.
You're suggesting that Fayetteville Flyer is lying, when the post you're replying to has an article from a national publication that includes a description of a other-than-standard menu.
You're weird.
ETA: Your own damned picture shows a menu where the far-right 1/4 is stuff that isn't "standard Taco Bell" menu items.
You're out of order there choppie. Read plz kthx.
