My problem isn't that we're losing, it's that Bret is a complete fraud. He boasts about toughness and physicality yet we're the softest team in our division. If we were losing hard hitting, physical, close football games I would be 100% on board with fatass. He talks a lot of shite but he never delivers on anything he says.

ETA: like we were in 2014 for example.

You need to chill the F out man.

Quit acting like the Hogs haven't more or less been an 8-4 team your entire life or majority of it depending how old you are.

Bert's not getting fired man. He'll shake up the staff and buy more time.

You don't fire him only to take a risk on a lower level coach that is simply a "hot" name.

Pretty sure everyone knew we would regress from last year. But now that we're regressing, people act like it's a shock

We returned 9 of 11 starters on defense and have become one of the worst run defenses of all time. Yeah totally not shocking.

Why are you OK with 8-4? Why is this acceptable to you? Do you see us on the same level as UK or vandy?

UK and Vandy wouldn't come close to going 8-4 in the West, not sure where that part came from

We are NOT the level of Vandy or Kentucky. But we also are not the level of BAMA or Auburn at this point.

Folks seem to lose sight of the recruiting base that we have, the difficulty of recruiting against the SEC ... and the SEC West.

Yes, Smith needs to go, but we all know what happens with a new DC most often. New schemes, new coaches, less familiarity etc.

We are on track to improve or stay the same win wise, which is a plus. Next season will be worse. so what do we do?

One fact is we have CBB as head coach regardless for the next 2 years. It amazes me the amount of anger and hatred showed on a message board. Personal insults are shallow and shows the depth of the person making the insults.

Cmon now... Geeze.

On a defense that was very bad last year. Returning starters there wasn't what people are talking about. And don't act like this year isn't an anomaly with us being soft at the LOS.

I also think that fans need to differentiate between expectations and being happy with those expectations. Just because someone does what I expect them to do does not equate to me being satisfied with what they do or how they did it.

I've been fine with the record this year.

Melting is fine too. Melting is normal. Melting implies that there were just plays here and there that could've been different and the entire outcome would be different. Melting is something all fans do at some point or another. Melting is a right of passage.

I've been fine with melting.

What I haven't been fine with is how I felt during the Auburn game. Complete numbness. Knowing from the first snap that your team may not be competitive in this ballgame, and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it.

Arkansas has forever been a program that swings above its weight class because the University is in a recruiting wasteland. If the end result is 8-4, OK. As long as we throw haymakers on the way down.

He really needs to get a hold of this. I don't want him to turn into Mangino.

Perhaps he is building up fat for a winter hibernation?
