That's what the boards consensus was before the season

Remember that while you're melting.

Yes, Robb Smith seems to have issues, so we agree on that.

It's not the overall record. It's the way in which we are losing.

We're not competitive.

It's humiliating and embarrassing and its happening repeatedly.

You can't be beaten down like a FCS rent-a-win within your own conference and feel good about it.

Our program is not that pathetic.

Bert isn't doing it right.

Plus, I've never trusted fat people to have a strong work ethic.

Yes but it was 4 blowouts. And before this season started I didn't know lsu and auburn were 1 dimensional. Jesus Robb should've been taking risks last Saturday and rushing 7 or 8 guys there's no way yaw yaw was gonna air it out. And if he did so be it? Have none of you ever played football?? If a team is a 1 dimensional run team then you SHOULD beat them if you have anywhere close to their talent.

Improvement record wise, but the team has obviously regressed

Also, we could very easily lose to State

We'll yea, we lost a lot of talent off last years team

Pretty sure everyone knew we would regress from last year. But now that we're regressing, people act like it's a shock

I was torn between 9-3 and 8-4 so if we manage to beat Missouri and MSU we will hit right around where I predicted.

In that regard I can live with the season. However the losses have been bad losses and other then Bama not to teams having amazing seasons either.

I am not saying fire Bert right now, but changes have to be made in the coaching staff and the way Bielema and company approach recruiting and getting ready for next year.

I'm fine with 8-4. Not fine with the performances of the losses. No one should be ok with that.

We returned nine starters on defense (yes losing Greenlaw hurt) and added a five star to the line... returned all receivers. Pulley is probably the best DB we've had in a while. Don't act like this team is somehow devoid of talent. It's not.

What we lost does not somehow excuse four blowouts.

Burt's buffet access should be suspended.

I'm ok with 8-4, better chance hogs wind up in Music City rather than that shite hole bowl in Orlando.

I can walk to the Titans Stadium as it stands.

I just looked at the recruiting rankings. Did you guys know South Carolina has already signed 8 fricking 4 stars. I guess that's why Muschamp is there. sheesh.

Tennessee- 9 4 stars

Texas A&M- 7

Auburn- 8

Florida- 8

Arkansas- 3

We're surrounded by the enemy. That's probably another good reason we aren't getting these guys. With what our offense did which is tailor made for the NFL we should be picking up more players. fricking Kentucky out recruited us last year.

Agree. The scores in our losses are what make it sting.

I think Robb has worn out his welcome and part of me thinks we need a slight tweak in offensive philosophy. I understand Bert likes to run the ball and use play action, but at some point you have to just go with what your team is capable of.

I think our current Oline would be better served with the field spread and running the ball with a zone blocking scheme. The smaller number of defenders in the box, means less thinking for the Oline. It will also make the defense show their hand most times on where the blitz is coming from.

Saban changed at Bama, so I would like to see Bert and Enos do the same here.

It's a shame its come to this. Recruit even a SEMI decent O line and we're in business this year.

Our receivers weren't getting dick for seperation on Saturday. LSU was on every single play like stink on shite.

Yea, that's part of my point in spreading the field. You make LSU get out of man coverage with 4 WR sets and you also make them send a LB or two out in coverage which allows you a better chance of getting positive yardage rushing.

I've been pretty disappointed that Jalen Merrick, a very highly touted recruit hasn't broken through and can't beat out a walk on. The OL recruiting, on paper hasn't been that bad, but some of them just haven't panned out for one reason or another. Kirkland left surprisingly last season, and we scrambled and reached on two JUCOs who haven't cracked the two deep either. That's not what you want out of two scholly's on JUCOs. We lucked out with Raulerson, but he is banged up. Even when healthy, he has been pushed around quite a bit.

We have some OL in this class that will be needed to add immediate depth going forward. Luckily, or unluckily, however you see it we only lose Skipper off this patch work OL.

They looked like they were really prepared for our offense. Their safety made a great play on that throwback pass to Sprinkle that I thought had a chance to go for big yardage.

That tends to happen when you lose NFL players and replace them with young guys. 5-7 was a big pick around here this year. We'll finish well ahead of that m

Hey dipshit every team in the goddamn united states of America that plays fricking football loses players. That's at every fricking level! Guys retire graduate or move up in pee wee. But guess what? It's the coaches job to to replace them with more talent! Obviously Bert didn't do that! I wish I could down vote your asinine statement 1,000 times. One of the dumbest posts I've seen in a longgggggggg time.

We'll be 8-4 with basically and entire new offense outside of WR and a very bad defense. I think he's doing a fine job and he's recruiting just fine for Arkansas terms. Just gotta fix some things on defense, and as much as I hate to say it, the defense will be better once Ellis moves on. He's just too slow. Harris, Eugene and Greenlaw will make a formidable LB core.

Lol it's a shame my post made you so mad, but I did get a chuckle out of your misery.

Maybe if you started more threads you'll feel better

It's almost like depth isn't good enough to have another player step in without any drop off

Has Arkansas ever had a coach that could plug a new player in at all positions without any drop off?

Except we've also regressed on defense where we returned almost everyone

Yes, the offense has harmed the defense by not being able to sustain drives. The OL should never be this bad. But the defensive issues go beyond that.

Regardless nothing excuses 56-3, nor not being at least competitive against LSU with an interim head coach.

We have the capabilities to have a bough depth not to lose 56-3 to auburn whenever all they do is to run it up the gut. Same with lsu. Why are you OK with 8-4? Why is this acceptable to you? Do you see us on the same level as UK or vandy? Because newsflash we're not. Not with the right coach. And we didn't lose evyone at all positions. We had 9 starters back on defense. 9! That's quite a bit. Out of all the concerns before the season only one was real (the oline, which is sad since that's berts thing) the other issues were things we were good at last year and we mostly have the same guys out there
