Ok, the shock and awe is over and this is my treatise on CBB now.

As I have pondered the loss, the unorthodox way in which we lost this game against Toldeo, I came to a conclusion.

After speaking to players last season of how they continued to improve and blow out LSU, Ole Miss and then Texas in such a stunning fashion. I was convinced that CBB was able to hold on to the team, continue convincing them to battle and never give up. This game by all measures was won by the Razorbacks in every single measure but one. All statistics say's this game should have been different at the end. But the anomaly of it all still exists.

From this knowledge, this ability to hold on to his team last season, and his uncanny ability to fight, work, and conquer, I believe it was exactly that. An anomaly.

He will stay up all hours of the day, work harder than ever, question everything until this is figured out and we are winning once again.

I spoke today to a friend who had a daughter that dated one of the Assistant Coaches. From his perspective as well, this will be fixed. Yes, CBB is a bit of a blowhard, but he is also a perfectionist when it comes to football, but not in a jerk sort of a way like Petrino.

If the above info is close to correct, we will still surprise some folks this season.

If not, consider me a fool!

Just out of Tuesday practice and liked our preparation today. New guys stepping up for us in critical positions for us on Saturday #WoooPig

He has been preaching this since after the game, not sure what guys in what positions but he has alluded to roles being filled by different players and staff going forward.

While statistically it is hard to explain the loss (outside of points scored), it is different from the Arkansas norm for a HC to actually follow through with changes after talking about them following losses such as this.

Guess we will see this Saturday if change talked about actually occurs, doesn't necessarily get answered by a win or a loss either...

JoJo and Kendrick Edwards will be two newish folks seeing the field this week so there's two.

I bet you see Walker back to full time FB, none of the 80% non-sense as well.

I think there is more change coming as well, some will have people saying "Huh?".

Hopefully Walker goes back. We need an actual FB in the game on short yardage and not 12 or 13 personnel. I would much rather take my lumps with RW3 who actually looks like an SEC RB.

Perhaps Juan Day is back at practice this week and can play.

He keeps talking about guys stepping up, which to me means possible new guy(s) on the o-line and in the back 7 on D.

Maybe not, but the rest seems to obvious to be so vague about.

Offensive Line Coach Sam Pittman spoke with the media tonight about practice and upcoming opponent Texas Tech.

Pittman was asked if Texas Tech would show movement?

"I imagine we will face a lot of movement like we have these past two games and I'm sure they will move on us." Pittman said.

How did Denver Kirkland grade out?

"We have thrown 73 passes and not have given up a sack," Pittman said. "He is the best left tackle we have on the team and will stay at left tackle."

Pittman was asked how practice went today for the Hogs?

"It went good man," Pittman said. "There was a lot of positives vibes going around and a physical practice. We have to move the line of scrimmage and that is what we are going to do."

Pittman also talked about how the Hogs are responding well after the loss to Toledo.

"We had a good practice today," Pittman said. "We will always remember Saturday and it hurt the team, but to answer your question yes they have responded well in a negative situation."

Pittman also addressed the penalties from Saturday's loss.

"Well the penalties took us from the three yard line one time," Pittman said. "What happens is they moved alot on us and had us out of position and we started to grab. I think we can control the penalties if we see things better. It's coaching and we will play with our head up more."

Michael Smith spoke with the media and how the receivers will do without Keon Hatcher, who was injured on Saturday.

Smith was asked about who would step up in the leadership role despite Keon Hatcher being down?

"It will be me," Smith said. "I think Drew Morgan, Cody Holister and Jared Cornelius will lead by example."

Smith was asked about Kendrick Edwards redshirt being taken off as well.

"Yes sir I anticipate Kendrick to play and he has decided he wants to play for us this year." Smith said.

Smith also talked about JoJo Robinson.

"I am just hoping he goes out and executes our offense," Smith said. "If he does that and with the ability he has he will be fine."

Jemal Singleton was asked how sick Alex Collins was last week?

"I don't know all i know is he played the whole game and played great and played tough." Singleton said.

Singleton also discussed true freshman Kendrick Jackson playing fullback.

"We have to play the best eleven on the field and Kendrick is coming along good it is all knew to him and he is getting more reps." Singleton said.

Brandon Allen was asked about the game on Saturday?

"We lost that one ourselves and were 1-5 in the redzone and we cant win like that." Allen said.

Allen also was asked about the leaders on the team?

"We have leaders stepping up since the set back from Saturday," Allen said. "We will be ready on Saturday."

Allen, like Smith, talked about what it will be like with out Keon Hatcher.

"It will be a step back and we have leaders that will step up like guys JoJo Robinson and Kendrick Edwards." Allen said.

Allen knows the Hogs haven't run the ball well in first two games and was asked about running the ball?

"We have to establish the run game early and be effective on Saturday." Allen said.

Junior wide receiver Drew Morgan will get the start on Saturday. He was asked about the size of Texas Tech?

"As long as we run our routes and play physical we will be fine." Morgan said.

Morgan was asked about being the next man up?

"Coach B called me and told me your the next man," Morgan said of Bret Bielema. "I don't look at it as not the shoes I'm filling in for, but the shoes that I'm making."

Morgan said he expects the group of receivers to improve this week.

"We wanna come out with a victory and brush off the distractions," Morgan said. "We will be 100 percent locked on to Texas Tech."

Offensive guard Sebastin Tretola was asked if the Hogs got hit in the mouth on Saturday?

"Yes we did but we will come out more physical for Texas Tech." Tretola said.

Tretola was asked about the penalties on Saturday?

"We have to play cleaner." Tretola said.

Tretola was asked about the run blocking?

"That was the emphasis in practice and we are working on moving guys back." Tretola said.

This is from yesterday on JoJo.

@SportsTalkwBo: Bielema: We think Jared Cornelius & Drew Morgan are our best two WRs now. It’s time to get JoJo Robinson in there & he’ll start in the slot.

It's pretty easy to understand. Toledo controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

He's like 19 and has no previous writing experience. The kid has actually been working his arse off which is a welcome change for that site. However it's easy to see that Otis went super cheap on the hire.
