Could be the two of the ugliest weeks in Razorback football history(minus Petrino and Smiley incident). Put your seatbelts on.

Bama beat us 52-0 in both 2012 and 2013. Auburn beat us last year 56-3.

I'm expecting both AU and Bama to beat us by 50+ this year.

Line opened at +29.5, couldn't believe it's not 35 at least.

Honestly don't think we'll score against Bama

It also seems like Bama always has a bad week before they play us. Saban is going to be a dick all week during practice and his team is going to come out and slaughter us.

They're gonna beat us with their defensive TDs alone. I'm gonna go with 3 Alabama defensive TDs for next game.

Literally came here just to post this.

If the entire game was just our O versus their D, they'd beat us 28-0.

I really think he finishes the season at least but it could happen earlier if we get boat raced the next two weeks.

I have approximately zero sources and can say with 100% certainty that Bielema isn't getting fired in the middle of the season for anything football related. Long has been outspoken in the past about how he doesn't agree with college programs firing assistant and head coaches before the end of the season.

Also, what benefit does it provide? It's not like we had high expectations going into this season or would somehow salvage the season by doing so, and tabbing an assistant as an interim only increases the chances that that coach will get the long term gig. Don't you think LSU wishes they'd have waited until the end of last season to part ways with Miles, since they probably wouldn't have wound up with Orgeron?

We have Bielema till the end of the year. Unless a coach screws up in a spectacular way (come on down Petrino!) Long will not fire them until the end of the season. Its how he rolls if you will.

Long plays the odds. He bet, unwisely, on Bert and failed. He will almost certainly shite can Bert at the end of this year having spent a good couple of months looking for a replacement.

Said replacement might not actually do better but Long will always play the odds in his hires. He likes young and cheap coaches for the most part and honestly he's done extremely well with that philosophy in a several sports.

Please inform us on these extremely good hires he has made. Don't mention MA or BP. His hand was forced with hiring MA, sadly. BP was a forced hire as well.

The myth of the hire.

No one forced Long to hire Petrino, the most pressure was to hire Gus which got him an interview and that was it.

The job came down to Kiffin, Muschamp, and Petrino.

Grobe and Bowden were as real of a candidate as Miles and Gundy last time, people tend to forget agents represent more than one coach at a time...

Yeah the forced hire is one of the most ridiculous message board concoctions I think our fanbase has ever made.

He's never been forced to hire anyone, only forced to fire Petrino because of his own actions and behavior.

Mike Anderson was hired mainly because 90% of the past players said he was the only man who could restore the program and have them re-associated with the program, including some who played for Sutton.

There was a coupe "big money" boosters who were against him and one former player/assistant for Sutton.

at one point, Muschamp thought he was coming to Arkansas... as did Kiffen... FWIW.

Then we know where both ended up at... Thank God we didn't hire kiffen at that time

You know... I just wrote than and then thought about what happened in stead. Dang... We are snake bitten

Jesus titty fricking Christ dude.

He was forced! By Gunpoint bah Gawd! To hire Bobby Petrino and Mike Anderson! And every other coach he's hired that has turned out OK! He masterminded 9/11 bah Gawd!

Or maybe he's made some decent hires, missed on a few of those, and is making us a shite load of money.

Don't mention the good hires he's made? Well shite. If we ignored all the good hires then every AD for every university out there sucks arse. We are good in Track, we are trending up in other secondary sports. We are making more money then we know what to do with.

If you throw a hissy fit and roll around on the floor because he made a bad hire, while ignoring the good hires he's made you are just an LSU fan.

The only thing forced about this is that you are angry about the fact we have a shitty football coach and its forced you to whine and bitch. Yeah, we have a shitty football coach. We are probably going to fire him at the end of the season and get a new one.

Do I like having a shitty football coach? No. Its not the end of the world and I'm not prepared to shoot family members over it.

If Long keeps Bert after this season then by all means break out the pitchforks and torches. Hell, I'll carry my share of them when we throw Long out. Until the end of the season, when any professional AD makes his changes, I will wait and see.

I'm about as out on Long as you can be right now, but the forced hire thing is laughable.

If something goes poorly, Long did it unilaterally (muh Pepsi!). Firing Petrino, Pepsi, Bert, keeping Pelphrey.

If something goes well, he was forced to do it. See hiring MA, hiring Petrino, firing Bielema when that day comes, etc.
