The Arkansas football program announced upcoming matchups against Tulsa and Georgia Southern on Monday, as well as a game against FCS program Eastern Illinois.

The Razorbacks will open next season against Eastern Illinois on Sep. 1, 2018. They’ll face off against Tulsa on Oct. 20, 2018. The matchup against Georgia Southern is set for Sep. 18, 2021. All three matchups will be played in Arkansas.

News of the matchup with EIU broke earlier on Monday. That game will be played in Fayetteville.

Think he is still in Charleston.

“He’ll never be with us again,” Bielema told ESPN’s Alex Scarborough. “I met with him last night for 45 minutes to an hour just trying to narrow some schools down that he would like to take a peek at. We also looked at the Canadian Football League for him as well.”

I completely forgot about him honestly.

He went to Arkansas State and then EIU where he was a junior last year and their #2 RB. I thought I had heard though that he wasn't going to be back. I could be wrong.

Is Georgia Southern the ones who have upset a few P5 teams?

Yeah but they have a new coach that somewhat tanked last year.

He fired his co-offensive coordinators, after one season, and is going back to the option

Probably a smart man. Folks wanted him fired after year one.

Problem is, the coach promised the Valdosta State head coach that they would change the offense, then screwed him in the end.

A great parting gift from Jeff Long. Too bad he won't be around to see the end of this schedule

Are they trying to give Bert these auto wins so his record looks better when trying to find another job in the near future?

What a complete joke of non-conference schedules.

So we get screwed on the Michigan deal and this is the best we can do?

Yikes

I can't blame Long on this one, though I'd have liked to seen some other teams, because the Michigan deal left us high and dry. Its hard to find a P5 program willing to do a home and away with the Hogs on such short notice.

We have a long history with Tulsa so that one is fine. But EIU is a not very good FCS team and Georgia Southern runs the option. We will have some defensive players with achy knees whatever the final score is.

Just saw they're close to finding a home and home. How Bert would it be him scheduling Iowa, to be fired and hired by his Alma Mater

If anyone wants to bet $1000 that Jeff Long is still here in 2021, I will gladly take the other side of that bet
