We have one of the best supported basketball programs in the nation and HY acts like we’re broke.

He didn't say we're broke.

He said he's paying Muss what he's worth/earned based on his performance here this far.

Ok, but his worth increases if someone is willing to pay more if you want to retain him.

He is back in his performance based pay contracts schtick after a losing season for Muss.

He needs to explain who the frick wanted Pittman to warrant his current contract he gave Pittman.

But when criteria for the jobs is just wanting to be here...

How much do you think he should be paid? He is making top 10 money Furthermore, Muss won't sign a new contract with a significant buyout and Yurachek would be an idiot to sign him to an extension without some protections for the University. It's no secret Muss inquires about any decent job opening.

HY cleared the rumor of the unsigned extension today, there isn't one on the table.

I was on record wanting HY gone when he let Terry Prentice walk to Miss State in August last year and took the stupid side lobbying politicians to stop NIL and the money going to the best players. He's always been one that wants the TV money going to the administrators.

This guy lacks the forward thinking it requires for Arkansas sports to compete with who we do each week and the limited athletes available to recruit from within this state.

It literally say the 2023-2024 season. He doesn't deserve a raise. He will be lucky to get another high school kid from Arkansas, he has burned significant NIL bridges, and he has lost every decent assistant. We won't even get into the fact that his son brings zero value to the staff and makes 125k. Nutt got crucified for having Danny on staff who was actually a good RB coach

That is why I linked the other two sources

HY appreciates you carrying his water.

The instate players who have left have carried stAte and UALR in the tourney this season.

Stating facts is not "caring HY's water" I don't want Muss to leave, but it is no secret he is shopping his name despite being given everything he wanted. It is getting very tiresome and we are quickly reaching the point that it may be better for both parties if he moved on. Relationships with coaches, donors, and people in the athletic department are rapidly deteriorating. I don't care about the players that left, but AAU and high school coaches do.

It doesn't matter what I think he should be paid. HY shouldn't be commenting on this shite. Especially when the buyout is his fault.

He's just trying to justify the pay to shed a good light on himself incase Muss leaves.

Muss shouldn't be floating his name for every fricking job opening. HY sucks, but to pretend that Muss isn't at least 50% of the problem is ridiculous. Hunter isn't the one lighting fire to every fricking bridge he crosses

Since the season has ended, Muss has recruited and landed his top target this far.

His name has been linked to high profile jobs like many other coaches. (Buzz for one who has left a good BB job in the past for a lesser job)

HY has posted a edit video from 5 years ago, then went on an interview in LA and stated that he is already paying Muss his top dollar.

But Muss is in the wrong and HY is doing his job.

Ok.

After watching that, I was pissed. It is inexcusable how utterly stupid admitting that is.

Same here. Put yourself in Muss's shoes and have your boss pull that. If he wasn't trying to get tf out before he may be now...

is HY calling his bluff and telling him to make a decision now? Lots of conjecture and a very odd drama filled season/offseason.

HY was mute during the period of the Louisville opening and SMU opening that had chatter. USC was pretty quite until he goes on a live interview of a show based I Los Angeles and gives the answers he does?

This is HY's Ken Hatfield moment, does he run down to the tarmac and beg Keith Smart not to get on the plane? No big name HC is going to work for a AD who does them in public like HY did Muss today.
