Sounds similar to what happened with me. I gave info but never said directly that it came from Bret. I had to beat around the bush a little bit at the time. The conversation didn't take place at Maxine's.

From what I remember, it wasn't even anything super bad or insulting. It was just something he only would have said to actual people, rather than reporters.

I shared some info once that came straight from Bret himself. Mike flew off the handle that I was wrong and the mods followed shortly. They locked and trashed the thread. Mike doesn't seem to realize when coaches talk in a casual setting they may say things that they wouldn't normally say to a member of the media.
Irwin is a good read either when he's giving insider recollections from coaching staffs dating back to Broyles or when he's playing the role of the lone sane person in the room when everyone over there is freaking out about something (like right now).
However, he can be a colossal humorless dick who gets rustled at the mere prospect of not being in the know for everything going on in and around tFlagship. I had Thanksgiving dinner with Broyles and his family a few years ago and mentioned some historical tidbit Coach told me (can't even remember what it was), and Irwin got hyper-rustled simply because he hadn't heard it before.

And it just gets worse. Now Lanny has a post saying no negative talk about JWill's injury on the board. So we either have to post how great his injury is or pretend it didn't happen? I'm confused.
One poster took Lanny's balls out of his mouth long enough to say anyone dwelling on JWill should be banned. All I can do is laugh at this point.

I've seen people on there act like this is a big deal (because it totally fricking is), and the HV faithful morons lay into them for it. It's OK to admit that this could impact our season and to be a little worried.
I've visited that forum for the last time until at least the Texas Tech game. There is going to be no redeeming quality for that place until we get some wins.
