seems like yesterday we brought our little guy home from the hospital, tomorrow we mail out invitations for his first birthday party.

Pioneer - Glad y'all are home & are all doing well, I presume. ... I hope new baby Pio gets adjusted to his crib & the concept of sleeping in it quickly.

Take in every second of it. It goes by so fast, as I'm sure you're aware of while getting ready for your son's 1st birthday. I used to hear that from others all the time, & didn't really realize it until mine started preschool. While it's great to see them grow & mature, sometimes I want to go back & re-live it again. They are only so young for such a short time, and that time is so very special.

Ha! Yeah, I bet that will be interesting for a bit. ... Your older one will get adjusted, quickly, since he/she is so young & will soon love being the older sibling helping to "take care" of the baby. Get a couple of those "I'm the Big Sis/Bro" onesies & shirts in different sizes for now & to grow into if you haven't already.
The older children of friends of mine with toddlers & preschoolers love wearing those things. I think it makes them feel more "in charge" of the younger ones. They like feeling they're the "boss" of little bro/sis, but really enjoy actually helping out with them, too. I think it makes them feel more secure to be involved in helping out with the baby. ... It's really great for siblings to be so close in age since they usually have a closer relationship growing up - kind of like twins. Very special time for y'all.
