I put this more on Whitt than on Mike.
Mike put him on the floor with opportunities to produce.
Largely, he didn't. So his minutes didn't go up.
Did seem like he was starting to come around towards the end though.
If Whitt is scared of the comp coming in, well, I say he needs to go.
Could have used the depth, but oh well.

ETA: I was wanting us to get Allen either instead of or in addition to Whitt.

I would agree, if this were the first time.

He was a normal freshman. Streaky. He was certainly deserving of more minutes than the rest of the second wave of guys this season.

He looked good at times, then he would get pulled. It is why actual basketball players don't come here. Mike recruits athletes, not players.

He most certainly looked to be coming along.

It is too easy to go with that line of rumor. Was Babb scared also? Beard should sit before Whitt gets his minutes cut. Not only is Beard a felon, but he has regressed as a player.

lazy coaches we have on staff here.

There does seem to be a good bit of apathy with this staff. If he doesn't do well this upcoming season, I think he is gone.

I'm just about out of adjectives to describe how disappointed I've become with this program... I like Mike and wanted him to do well here.... but he hasn't been consistent... didn't recruit behind Portis and it bit him in the butt.... now Whitt is gone.... BTW I was disappointed in his game anyway... expected more skill and ability from a guy with that much hype... his jumper was fundamentally awful (like Bill Cartright awful) and he seemed to lack discretion in his shot selection. He could get to the rim well off the bounce but didn't do it enough.
To me anything short of the Sweet 16 next year and we need to move on... I'm talking break the bank to get a championship builder in here.
Apathy won't get it done.

Maybe there's a reason it's so easy to go with that line?
In my estimation, he HAD plenty of opportunities to produce.

I don't really care who the coach is, if they are winning - so this is not about whether Anderson is the coach or not.

I just put this more on Whitt than Anderson.

I'm not against firing Mike if the program is teetering like it is now after 2016-2017, it will have to be done.

Babb transferring last year wasn't that big of a loss, he did have potential but never really showed much when he was on the floor.

Whitt transferring isn't that big of a loss, he had shining moments but was mostly mediocre.

Both of those transfers separately don't add up to much but when this happens two years in a row something is wrong inside the program.

Fix It Anderson, FIX. IT.

or you will be gone very soon.

Yea they do.

Next season when we are looking for our next prime senior transfer out of Southern Arkansas University, it will mean a lot.

At this point, I would be happy taking Bruce Pearl off of Auburns hands.

He essentially tried to butter up our administration after he beat us at home this season.

I would take him 5x on Sunday.

We have BB to balance karma out.

Dude, those two are legit players by Junior and Senior year.

That is the f-ing problem. They were both perfect for his system and he freaking let's them go?

How do you lose Babb when he probably would have logged top 3 minutes this past season.

Unreal.

So Monk is playing in the McDonald's AA game tonight, Allen was Freshman All-SEC and our only young guard that showed any promise this year is leaving.

I need a drink. This team is so fricked in 2 years unless Mike pulls about 8 or 9 rabbits out of his recruiting hat, and I think we can all see how that's going to go. Long better get his checkbook ready.

Great facilities.

Great fanbase.

Highly regarded city and metro area for livability.

Why the frick can't we be good at basketball again? Why can't we make a top hire?
