what a crapshow this thread has become. I apologize for my part. But....
I voted for Trump as well. Couldn't stomach the idea of Hillary back in any form or function. However, we were not given much of a decent choice to begin with. What happened to the men/women who would run for office with integrity, diplomacy, intellect, common sense, and who actually desire to serve. We have become a demoralized pathetic society of haves and have nots. When $$$ buys your way into the whitehouse democracy no longer truly exists. Pacs, Superfunds, those lobbying, special interests... Sad.

I was raised Jehovah's witnesses and we never stood for the pledge in school. Their logic was you can't have allegiance to god and the flag.

I honestly believe corporate lobbying has forced them out. It's hard to beat a snake when he has huge amounts of $$$ behind him.

Did you have to ride bikes and get mean stares from folks when you came to their houses? I imagine that wouldn't be fun either.
In my town they built their current building (worship place?) I think in full in over a week or maybe even one weekend, I found that pretty dang impressive.

No problems. Kids really don't care about all that. The build those Amish style. A lot of building trade guys, everybody shows up and it doesn't take long to build. They are no frills, don't even put windows in them.
